We blend realistic physics with simple controls to produce an authentic “feeling of flight” while making it easy to blast away at the enemy and tear up the ground! After just a few training flights, you will be landing on carriers and making precision ground strikes.

Fly over a dozen of the most iconic American aircraft from WW2. Train on the tame but maneuverable T-6 Texan, and earn you right to pilot the mighty F4F Hellcat and F4U Corsair. Conduct amphibious ops in the PBY Catalina, and send the enemy to the bottom of the sea in the TBF-1 Avenger. More planes coming soon!

Collect hundreds of upgrades to maximize your speed and destructive power. Engines, armor, guns, rockets, bombs and torpedoes are yours to be earned during the campaign, each with multiple upgrade levels.

With multiple ways to complete objectives, you’ll discover which planes and weapons work best for your style of play. Keep playing to unlock new types of weapons and new aircraft to carry them.

Unlock Scramble missions for endless combat action. Explore beautiful vistas while destroying everything in sight! Pound the ground in Scramble to earn upgrades for your next career mission

Air Combat Pilot is a free-to-play game supported by ads and in-app purchases of premium planes and upgrades. We do NOT have an annoying “wait to play” mechanic. If you enjoy the game, we encourage you to make an in-game purchase to show your support! Thanks!

We are a small indie studio in Chicago, IL! We had a blast making this game and really hope you enjoy it. We plan on releasing new content monthly and look forward to your support, comments and suggestions.

Fantastically Excellent

The devs nailed it on this one! The graphics and artwork are incredible and immersive. The planes and missions are many and diverse. The two flight modes allows you first, to get a feel for the planes and missions; and then, re-enjoy them in a more challenging way. I’ve been a gamer for about 35 years. I’ve played many flight simulator style games, but only enjoyed a few. This one is fantastic. The flight controls are simple, but realistic. The missions are challenging, varied, and fun. The only downside is that they have made such an awesome game, I can’t get enough. I’m chomping at the bit for another update. Could you please make a scramble mission that is more like an open war zone. You could use the Armored Ballon one as a template, with ally bases and ships, enemy bases with AA, planes, and buildings to bomb, enemy fleets to destroy, but have groups of zeros as air support instead of balloons. Maybe even have some groups attacking ally bases or ships to defend. Also, I suggest reworking your plane packages to eliminate the overlap on planes. It would be more of an incentive for those players that want to spend, which might increase the revenue for more mission and plane development 😉. All in all, excellent job on an excellent game.

Wow, I can't thank you enough for such a kind and thoughtful review. I've just passed it on to the team here. We have a lot of requests for improved scramble missions, and we are contemplating a sort-of "survival" mission similar to what you suggest. Please send us an email at and we'll keep you posted on our progress.

Developers please read!!

I love this game! it’s arguably one of the best WW2 plane app games I’ve ever played, I absolutely love the planes. The controls are super easy to learn and to master and I love the endless amount of stuff you can do! I really like how there’s an option to buy gold but it’s not necessary to fully enjoy the game! A couple suggestions I would add though is adding a couple more strategical bombers to the game, personally I would absolutely love if a B-17 or possibly a B-29 was added I think those two are the most iconic bombers of WW2 and I think it would make this game just that much better if they got added! I feel like it would also be super cool if you could drop a nuke out of the B-29 or if there was a special ops mission where you could drop one, I feel like it would add another historical effort to the game.

P.S. some 20mm cannons would be a really awesome addition to the PBY Catalina, maybe just to make it a little better to drive around

Developers please take these suggestions into consideration! Being a WW2 aircraft enthusiast I feel that these additions would not only add more variety but also would add another level of fun to an already great game!!

Thanks for the fantastic comments! Happy you are enjoying the game. We actually have the strategic bombers built and are thinking about how to best integrate them into the game. And the "special ops" mission you recommended is not out of the question ;-) We try to take everybody's comments into account, but we're still a pretty small company, so between this and our sequel, it may take just a bit of time. Thanks again!

Great game played for the last few months been real fun and all. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who likes or knows things about ww2 aircraft or someone who is just looking for a new plane sim to play. There are lots of missions to play and are all fun but 1 thing I do not like is there are not a lot of air to air missions most of them are air to ground, making torpedo runs bombarding enemy bunkers, tanks, airfields etc. The currency you pay for-gold is easy to get but if you want a good gold plane it could take you a while or you could buy gold but I haven’t and I have enjoyed the game just as much. I haven’t experienced any bugs or glitches which is amazing. My one complaint about the game is that in the missions you can’t leave to far from your area or else it says leaving mission are and about 15 seconds later it makes you restart the mission and the same goes to if you fly to high. I would ask to let you fly higher cus I like dive bombing but it’s difficult when you only have about 5000 feet. I’d definitely play it I were you.

Thanks for the well thought-out review. We are working towards more dogfighting, but trying to avoid boring "turn in circles" battles. Also, your note about flying out of the mission areas is a good one. We originally did this to keep players "on track" but more and more people seem to prefer a more open world, so I think we may remove those barriers. Thanks again!
