Incredible for the price!

For being a free app, this is incredible and a lot of fun to use. It also doesn’t require you give up your entire space so you can have twitter and other apps open while you play. The Assetst looks crisp and the puck glides really nice. But the app is definitely buggy. If you jam the puck into your own corner hard enough / enough you will score on yourself. I wish there were different sound options, with a more traditional air hockey sound being one (with air and plastic noises). Like I said, super cool for being free. But it would be absolutely incredible if this supported random match making with the option to show Personas. There are lots of cool things that could make this app even better. But as is, this is a great great app on the Vision Pro. Well done.

Almost great!

So close to greatness! This is a fun, glossy game to enjoy. It just desperately needs sound effects! (And maybe music, although you could stream your own music in the background.) Still, I recommend this game just for the enjoyment and stylish graphics. Hopefully the dev will add sound effects & music soon.

[UPDATE July 17, 2024 after developer response] Thanks for confirming their are sound effects. I had tried toggling the SFX On/Off but nothing changed. However, I tried setting the toggle to Off, then I force quit the app. When I relaunched it, the sound effects are working! One note though, the effects sound like they are “right heavy”. They are louder in the right ear than left. There are also some little audio “digital ticks” at the start/end of some of the audio samples. (I’m an audio person so I notice these things.) Maybe there are some little bugs with the audio & sound effects? Otherwise it’s an excellent app and really fun to play!

Hello! Thank you so much for your review. Air Hockey 20XX has sound effects that can be toggled from the main or pause menus via the SFX:ON/OFF button, but I will definitely look for possible issues regarding this feature. I’ll also look into adding some music, thank you for the advice & feedback!
