Good but lacks key features

Aircall is pretty good but not great. Its shortcomings are very large. To begin, the interface between the desktop app (Mac OS and Windows, I’ve used both) and the phone is stellar. It works almost exactly how it should. You complete one action on the web and you can see it on your phone right away. I can call and text with a specific number. The things the app does, it does well. But what it does lack is the ability to send/receive photos. I use this for work at a SaaS and my clients are CONSTANTLY sending me screenshots, videos, voice messages and so on. The fact that it’s 2023 and Aircall is still dragging their feet on overcoming this key challenge shows that their product team is out of touch with their users. They just released a new version where you can add tags to your calls and organize them. I don’t know where they thought prioritizing this over sending media messages was a good idea but it wasn’t. What a waste of their programmer’s and product team’s time. As such, my company’s is actively looking for options that support media messages.

Messages Load Slooowly 🐢🐢🐢💨

If you're considering this app, check Vonage instead. Currently use both and have had Vonage for 11 years and Aircall for 2 years.
If you actually use the phone Aircall will be more of a nuisance.

1. **Message Loading Delays**: When you receive a notification for a new message, you tap on it expecting to see the content immediately. Instead, you're left waiting for what feels like an eternity - often up to 10 seconds or more - for the message to actually load. This delay is not just inconvenient; it's a real productivity killer. In a fast-paced work environment, every second counts, and waiting this long to respond to messages can lead to missed opportunities or delayed responses.

2. **Call Failure and Reconnection**: Another frustrating aspect is the call functionality. If a call fails or gets dropped, you're often unable to redial immediately because the system incorrectly indicates that you're still on a call. This bug forces you to wait or restart the app, which is not only annoying but can also lead to lost business or missed important calls.

These issues significantly detract from the overall usability of Aircall. For an app that's supposed to streamline communication, these delays and errors feel like a step backward. I hope the developers address these problems soon because the potential for Aircall is there, but the execution needs improvement.

Great aesthetics, terrible technicals

I’ve used the product for some three years now to run my business. It looks great and has a very practical client interface. However, call quality is ABSOLUTELY ABYSMAL. No, there is no better way to put it (it could certainly be painted uglier, honestly). My business looks like a clown show because of this service. I have struggled to change, because it took much time and research to get here, and I don’t have the time to transition now. Constantly dropped calls, robotic voice, massive delays in audio, missed calls, complete silence - you name it! Of the many times that I approached the company for help, so you know what they told me? Sit at a desk and hardwire! I’m a real estate broker. Do you know what kind of ridiculous nonsense is this advice? Yeah, it’s crazy. If you have other options, do your best to implement them. This should be one of your last options.
