AirGap Wallet is a watch-only wallet used alongside AirGap Vault. This separation helps to provide better security while handling your funds.
The AirGap Wallet initiates transactions, connects to a network to fetch data from the blockchain, and displays this information within the app as a portfolio overview. The Vault, however, does not connect to any network, irrespective of the device used. The Vault signs transactions and protects your private key securely offline.

Both of those features only work after you added the recipient address, because the fee can depend on the type of recipient address. If the problem persists, please reach out to hi@airgap.it so we can look into it.
Update for balance fix

Hi. The balance loading issues should be improved in the next version. As for the revenue model, we have the AirGap Store with SeedPlates and AirGap Knox, as well as other income streams. Feel free to reach out to us Telegram or Discord if you want to know more.
