This app needs a lot of improvement. Even though I spent 30 minutes entering my wife and my passport information and then received a boarding pass for our trip to Canada we had to see a gate agent at the gate to reverify our information. When I questioned why go through the effort of entering the information into the app the agent said the app had a problem syncing with the Alaska Airlines system. She encouraged providing a review so the app could be improved. After 4 years of service you would think they would have figured this iut by now.

You actually experienced the Mobile Verify service as intended! If you received a boarding pass, that means your passport information was successfully shared from the Airside app with the airline. The Mobile Verify service enables travelers to skip the passport verification step in the lobby, but verification will still be done at the gate. We appreciate the feedback and the opportunity to clarify.

I repeatedly entered my vaccination info. Every time, it changed the dates that I'd entered to one day before the date I entered. I repeatedly erased them and re-entered the correct dates. Sure, I could abs did enter one day ahead, but when i told the devs, they just said to enter one day ahead instead of fixing this inexcusable glitch. There's a button for entering boosters. But, of course, it's grayed out and doesn't work, forcing you to back out several screens. Plus, the vaccination card you already photographed? You have to take another picture of it every time you document a booster. Does the develop team bother to test? Obviously not. Scanning for the chip in the passport is a disaster too. Count on 5-10 minutes. Not that you could just enter your details manually according to their supposed update of their app to permit that. I didn't see where to enter passport info manually. I wasted enough time with the vaccine nonsense and finally getting the passport chip to scan. If they can't make an interface that doesn't require end users to drill down to find where to manually enter passport info, I’m not going to waste more time trying to find it. After 5 selfies of me wearing the same shirt in my passport photo, it rejected the selfie and timed me out for 24 hours. Avoid.

We're sorry to hear you're having trouble using the Airside app and appreciate the opportunity to assist. As a temporary fix for the vaccination service, set the date to one day after the correct date so it will reflect the accurate vaccination date. After entering your first shot, tap Confirm and Continue, then Confirm, then tap Add a Shot --no need to go backwards! The additional photograph required for subsequent boosters accommodates those who have multiple vaccination cards.

The manual entry option included with version 3.18.2 is offered during the MRZ scan, which occurs right before the NFC chip read. At the bottom of the "Scan your passport" screen where it says "Enter Manually," you can tap that to enter your information.

After reading all the negative reviews I almost passed on trying this app to load my passport but decided to give it a try. Photo scans worked fine! Passport chip scan took a few tries but worked when I slowed down moving my phone around. I checked chip location online and a pic showing the chip like a frame on the back inside cover helped. Will see how it goes at the airport on my AS flight!
