Airtime Player is a video player application created for in-flight entertainment that allows passengers to watch digitally-protected videos during their flight.
The application is required to watch content streamed from the airline’s entertainment portal and must be downloaded prior to boarding.

Haven’t used it extensively yet, but enough to evaluate the basics. Doesn’t look like it uses the system video player and controls, it uses their own, which is clunkier. It also does not allow for zoom-to-fit of theatrical widescreen (21:9) movies, so if you’re watching on an iPhone X or XS you’re stuck with letterboxing all the way around, which is ridiculous.
Does not work
If you do not watch a movie to the end, your device is then completely locked out of watching any other movie until you have ran the first one to the end. My iPad is locked out of watching movies on Southwest due to this issue. I do not fly frequently and I did not finish a movie. The movie is no longer available for me to run it to the end. Therefore my tablet can no longer watch movies. I have removed and reinstalled the app to no resolution. When I start the app, it is expecting me to resume the last video played.
I am guessing Global is keeping track of the video in their sever, not on the tablet. Making it impossible for the user to resolve.
Just used this on my trip to Dallas and back to Indy. Downloaded before I got to the airport and followed the instructions. Was able to watch live tv with ease. Defiantly a good app. I was also able to track my flight while on the plan and see where and how long was left on my flight. Great job with this app. Read the instructions people if you are having problems!
