Airtime is a platform for people who want to video chat with their friends while watching their favorite YouTube videos. Spend time face-to-face with the people who matter most, and watch them react to the videos we love to hate, the ones we hate to love, and the ones we just plain adore.
We believe that life is better when you experience together.
What you’ll find on Airtime:
- Create your own Rooms where you can have peaceful, low-stakes, private interactions with different groups of trusted friends.
- Watch YouTube videos or listen to music with friends. Add a personal touch by sharing your own photos or videos as well.
- Video chat with up to 10 friends at once and see their reactions to priceless moments in real time.
- Customize your video chat with animated stickers, sound reactions, and face masks.
- Choose your own privacy settings with a Secret room, or create a Party room where all friends of room members are welcome.
The latest version of Airtime is here, and there are a ton of great new features. For starters, we’ve added a Dark Mode that’s really easy on the eyes, given the app a new look and feel that spans both design and copy, and squashed some bugs. We’ve also created a simple and easy way to schedule sessions with your friends, so you never miss a chance to Airtime together. Finally, we’ve made Airtime invite-only in order to keep our growing community safe and private for you and your best friends. More details are available within the app. We love your feedback, so let us know what parts of the app you love—and what parts need some love from our team—in the reviews section. Thanks, and enjoy the new Airtime!

Please do something about this
So I saw this app on Snapchat and I thought it would be pretty cool to download and do this with my friends. I went to the App Store and searched up Airtime and it popped up. I use an I-Pod Touch and I know some apps aren’t compatible with I-Pod Touch. So whenever I download an app I look at the compatibility. I noticed that this app says it’s compatible with I-Pod Touch so I downloaded it exited to do this with my friends. The moment I launch the app it shows a really cool start screen. Right after that it asks for my phone number and on I-Pod Touch you don't have a phone number. You use Email instead. I was scrolling through the reviews and I saw someone with the same problem as me and you guys replied saying it was for security reasons to make sure it’s you. You can still text with I-Pod Touch but you have an email instead of phone number making it still possible to verify that it’s you through text. Other then that it looks like a pretty cool app. Thanks for reading this and I hope you can do something about it.
Great Idea, needs a little work
I really appreciate what this app is trying to do. It’s a very clever idea and has a lot of potential. Admittedly, I do not know much about programming an app, but as a user of this app, I believe my opinion should count for something: there are some major issues with it. First, the app crashes whenever I go from the texting screen to the main menu back to the same texting screen. This is just a small bug that I imagine will get patched in the next update. Additionally, messages often do not send or appear on the chat screen when they should. Again, I imagine this is a smaller bug that will be fixed as soon as the problem is found. Second, I would prefer if the black rectangle where the video is supposed to go was smaller or did not appear until a video is presented. I do not have enough screen to see the person I am calling. Third, I would like to be able to move the screen that shows my side of the call. The current placement often covers up part of the face of whoever I am calling. Fourth, I would like to be able to send photos and videos in the message section without presenting them. Fifth, when I type a message, it only shows 3 lines of text. Everything I type will still send if I hit send, but I cannot read it for typos (which I often have). Thank you for reading, and I hope you can address some of my concerns. I really look forward to the future of this app.

Thank you so much for your thoughtful feedback! We read every review and really do appreciate it. For major issues like crashing, we definitely want to hear more from you so that we can resolve that problem. Would you mind sending in your account details to us at firstname.lastname@example.org? Thank you!
needs LOTS of improvement...
Ok, so I'm gonna get right to the point. Everything’s great except the AWFUL video and sound quality even when I’m connected to WiFi and I have 4 bars. Texting works fine, but sometimes when I try going live my friends get notifications but they don’t see or hear me. I often talk to my friend and it feels like a very one sided conversation, then she says “Hey it says ur here but why aren’t u going live?” That’s when I realize that I’ve been talking to myself the whole time. You guys SERIOUSLY need to make some MAJOR improvements, bc the only thing that has been keeping us from deleting it and downloading Houseparty is bc the other app doesn’t work at our school and I couldn’t find any other group chat apps. PLEASE create a new update, because not being able to actually chat with other people kind of defeats the purpose of having this app.
