Issue with Weekly Updates
After owning device for a few months, and being able to see my iot's, I am no longer unable to see anything on my device or account via app. Not sure what happened but I have no functionality in app to handle my equipment if there is any issue.
App and device are a failure
I, like many it seems, was taken in by a great Kickstarter concept that turned out to be all hype. This app does nothing except frustrate me. It is not able to show a list of connected IoT devices, when I get a notification that I have a security problem the app encounters an error and continues to tell me nothing. I’ve tried many times to contact support, but support doesn’t seem to exist. I’ve even been paying the subscription which supposedly provides access to live support, I have received no benefit from the service. There’s no indication the this device and its app is actually doing anything at all. As a result I have now cancelled the subscription before anymore money is wasted on this failed project, and I’m doing away with this pointless app and device. I really liked the concept and hoped they could pull it off, but it’s time to cut my losses.
Developer Response ,
Thank you for providing your valuable feedback, we released a new version few days ago with updated design and functionality. Please update the application and check it out. AKITA support is available at firstname.lastname@example.org 24/7
I love the concept but I am not impressed with the app. All you get is a basic dashboard and nothing really advanced. My 30 day subscription expired and I cannot for the life of me figure out how to renew it, let alone locating pricing information. I also accidentally pressed the “Service Call” button and I was expecting a phone call in return, it’s been over a month and I have yet to hear from anyone. I am not sure what Service Call actually does nor am I sure what Akita delivers besides the information provided in their marketing video. My Akita is deactivated since I cannot renew the subscription, I have unplugged it for now as it serves me no purpose. I’ll hang on to it for a while to see what the future holds. It has great potential and I presume it’s all work in progress.
