Alert SacRT: Free Safety and Security Mobile App for Riders

The Alert SacRT Safety and Security App offers riders a quick and discreet method for reporting safety and security concerns directly to RT Police. App users can send photos, six second video, text descriptions, and locations of suspicious people or activities. From the home screen, users have two easy options for contacting RT Police:

* The “Report an Issue” button allows users to send text or photos directly to RT. To ensure discretion, the camera flash is automatically disabled when photos are taken through the app. When reporting an issue, users can select locations and report categories to assist RT Police. Riders can also send reports anonymously if they chose.

* The “Call RT Police” button will connect customers directly to RT Police.

The application is designed for robust operation even under conditions of poor signal strength. If you send a report from an area without cellular/Wi-Fi connectivity, it will be stored and sent when connectivity returns. The system is also designed to send text descriptions before photos so that the police can get information as quickly as possible.

Additional Features:

BOLO (Be On the Look Out) Alerts. BOLO Alerts on Alert SacRT may display alerts from RT Police about specific persons of interest. For example, RT may display information about a missing person or child, such as where they were last seen. If you see a person from a BOLO, immediately call 9-1-1 and send an app report to RT discreetly.

Difficult to find app in App Store

Can't find under Sacramento RT, Sacramento Regional Transit, Regional Transit, etc. in the App Store. Had to find under Alert RT but only knew the name from someone else. If I didn't have someone who already had the app I'd be unable to locate. Need to add search criteria

App is good with quick response. Wish the other app with train times was still around. Cannot locate that either. Only Zip Pass and I don't need it. :-/

Need ability to filter and delete all messages

I travel only by gold line and would like to filter out messages for blue and green line or view all messages if I so choose to. .

Also, I would like to delete all messages or messages that are older than the one I have selected, etc.

Also I have my iPhone using dark theme and I am unable to see what I am typing because your app is showing white text on white background. I had to type all this up in Notes app and transfer it over here.

Thanks for sending updates! I look at this app daily! Twice a day, actually! To and from work!!As a working mother of 2 that travels from one side of town to the other side for daycare, I depend on this app and the updates! I take lightrail from downtown sac to Watt 80!! So thank you!! Keep it up!!
