The ALHOSN UAE app is the official COVID-19 testing channel for health authorities in the United Arab Emirates, by the Ministry of Health and Prevention.
By using the app, everyone can help stop the spread of COVID-19 and keep their family and friends safe.
You can receive your COVID-19 test results directly on your phone with a unique QR code that is proof of your status and that of everyone else around you who also have the app, giving you peace of mind that you can safely interact.
The app can also help trace people who may have come within close proximity to confirmed COVID-19 cases for an extended period of time. It uses short-distance Bluetooth signals to determine when your phone is near another phone that also has the app installed. Both phones exchange anonymized IDs which are then stored in encrypted form on your phone. Using the anonymized IDs, health authorities can quickly identify and contact people at risk of infection so they can be retested.

Not consistent or updated
Had recent test done with negative results. App still shows results from 4 months ago. Hasn’t updated latest results or the fact that I received both doses of the vaccination. I have deleted and reinstalled app several times and it still shows one result and still freezes up. Developers need to update and maintain this app better if it is the main tool being used to prove your negative test results.
App not working, no customer support available
The app will not let me get past the screen that says to disable battery optimization. I’ve disabled it in my settings on my phone, and still will not let me move past it. I tried uninstalling app, reinstalling app, and still the same exact problem. I called customer contact support many times and no one ever answers, it just constantly plays an automated message and nobody picks up to speak to me. I tried to email the support with my issue, and the email was sent back to me without being read because they said that their inbox was full and they cannot respond to my inquiry. How can I use this app if I am not receiving any help to make it work? It is impossible to use and it’s very frustrating because I am not receiving any help. Please can you fix these bug issues with the app, because I really need to be able to use it. Thank you so much for your help.
Wrong phone number
Terrible customer service.
A cell number ( not mine) is associated with my ALHOSN. I am able to receive text messages from ALHOSN with verification numbers by text to my cell number but I am not able to go further. I get a message saying to login with correct phone number. I called ALHOSN to correct this. I was disconnected 3 times. I called ALHOSN on the following day and finally able to speak to a person who then told me go to the ICA UAE website to change my number there. The ICA UAE has the correct phone number. I called ALHOSN again to inform there is nothing to correct and they told me ‘ give it 5 days’. The issue isn’t going to resolve itself if it is ignored. I don’t believe they know how to correct the problem so I am getting passed from person to person. If anyone knows how to fix this please comment.
