When you first open the app, you get an ad but there is a link to continue to the app. The in-app ads are still present but they don’t get in the way of using the app. The app is free, so you have to expect some ads. I did not explore all the categories, but they are separated into some good groups. The recipe I opened vegan brownies) has directions, but they were parsed in a way that made it awkward to read. The biggest problem I had was that I could only access the menu options at the bottom when I first went into the app. When I click into the search bar to bring up the keyboard, it covers the menu options. I could not get rid of the keyboard to access the menu without closing the app and reopening it.

I absolutely hate this new app. I loved being able to search a variety of different recipes for the same dish and reading all the reviews & added comments. I lost all my favorite, saved recipes when the old app was decommissioned. I’m really disappointed.

I downloaded this app because and only because I’ve been using the All Recipes website for years. I was instantly assaulted by suspicious activity from what looked like add on apps that set off red flags for me. I don’t have any use for apps that onboard extra apps in association with the one I chose to use regardless of whether it’s useful or not. My kitchen, my iPad, my internet, my rules and definitely my choice and only my choice.App Deleted

Used this app few years ago all the time. Built a large collection of favorite recipes. Then one day they were all gone. Trying the app again. I find it not easy to navigate as the keyboard doesn’t go away when doing a search. And again the favorites I save are no where to be found. They were there two days ago.
