Allegan County residents can now schedule transit trips, receive rider updates and monitor vehicle location all from the convenience of a mobile device with the new Allegan County Transportation app, powered by Via Mobility.

About us

Allegan County Transportation is a reservation-based bus service that will provide transportation to/from your home or place of work. ACT connects people to transportation for employment, medical care and quality of life.
Anyone is welcome to ride with us. Rides are scheduled on a shared-ride basis.

How it works

Upon downloading the app, create an account using details such as your email, phone number, date of birth and address. Once you have set up an account, you can book a new trip or view details of a pre-existing trip reservation. When booking a trip, choose either a departure time (when you are available for pick-up) or an arrival time (used when you must arrive at a location by a specified time). You will also need to provide a pick-up and drop-off location or address; enabling location services on your device will simplify the trip-booking process.

Based on available drivers and vehicles, you will be provided with a pick-up window. To ensure we are able to provide efficient and reliable transportation for the community, please be ready at the beginning of your pick-up window. Drivers will allow five minutes from the beginning of the pick-up window before marking a trip as a no-show and moving on. Cancellations are allowed up to a half hour before the scheduled trip window.

Once a trip is booked, app users will be sent push notifications on the status of their ride, or can opt to receive phone calls or SMS messages instead.
