Alpena Auto 4+

Just bought a set for my car, have everything linked up but doesn’t show on my Bluetooth selectable items and app can’t find the device. Could be a bad Bluetooth module but any troubleshooting is hindered by Alpena’s lack of information. Lights up bright but cycles through colors and won’t connect to device… I’ll return tomorrow and get another kit just to see if it is the device itself… I don’t have high hopes though… seeing how many horrible ratings this app has….

Was able to get the kit to end up working but only by selecting a different product than what was purchased… so it works… I guess… although each time I want to adjust I have to remember what other kit selection works for it…

Some kits we offer are remote controlled only please ensure the product you try to connect has BT on the box. We offer many other remote only controlled products.

So I had bought the under glow light set that came with one strip for front and back along with one on each side to be put under the vehicle. Got them all set up, installed the app, and absolutely nothing. I worked and worked trying to figure it out and how to connect it to Bluetooth and it would send me an error each time, even when I selected other products for the Bluetooth accessibility, and nothing worked! Oh how frustrated I am still to this day!

We are sorry you had some trouble. For the BT signal you need to ensure strength. also try to disconnect the power and rest set the BT hub. So, before the app was changed I had 0 problems with the lights or connecting/turning them on and off. AFTER the app was changed I can’t keep them turned on, the app registers for the first 30 seconds I click on that my Bluetooth has strong connection, then magically drops to 1 bar and turns the lights off automatically. The only time I can get them to come on now , is if I do that process and it only stars on for 30 seconds or so to shut off on me. Please help and fix.....
