Based on tried-and-true learning approaches to preschool education, Kids Academy develops spelling, writing and reading skills through fascinating games!
Learning to write has never been more fun! Your kids will not only learn to write letters, but will also develop good handwriting skills! The app turns the learning process into what kids love the most - a game!
HANDFUL OF TRACING GAMES AND MAZES
The game spans 7 vibrant boards tailored to nurture solid spelling and handwriting skills in a fun and engaging way. It challenges kids to practice lowercase and uppercase letters, enlarge vocabulary and master phonics skills through:
- Easy engaging mazes
- Animated flashcards
- Rhyming activities
- Letter & word tracing games
AGE-APPROPRIATE LEARNING EXPERIENCE
Putting child early abilities first, the game provides relevant learning experience for kids aged 6 and under. They learn the ropes of letters and sounds through age-appropriate vocabulary and a rich sensory environment specifically designed for the preschool age.
PROVEN MULTISENSORY APPROACH
The game teaches kids writing, while having their hands, eyes and ears working together! Through bright cute images, soft voice over and a plethora of tracing activities, kids will reinforce touch memory of letters and their sounds, practice short and long vowels and build up sight words.
What’s more, kids hone pre-writing skills progressively, from tracing to independent writing, and at their own pace.
EFFECTIVE MOTIVATIONAL BACKGROUND
Kids get motivated at every stage of the learning process. Inciting visual and audio cues encourage kids to attempt new activities and keep on practicing, so they don’t get bored. Dotted lines and arrows help them draw each part of the letter and let them get confident in writing on their own.
All the way through kids are continuously praised for their efforts and get stars for their performance:
***3 stars – for successful task accomplishment at first or second attempt
**2 stars – if they had 3 or 4 goes at tracing and writing
*1 star – if they had more than 5 tries
- Engaging motivational playground
- Left hand and right hand modes
- 2 levels of difficulty: tracing a letter with hints & writing a letter independently
- Clean graphics
- Soft and encouraging voice over
- Clear voice instructions
- Age-appropriate vocabulary and the ways each letter can sound in a word
Enjoy watching your kids get more and more confident at writing while having loads of fun on the way!

Amazing little app
Update: Still going strong! I can't believe that these Kids Academy apps have been so wonderful for my toddler. She knows how to wake my iPhone and knows where to go to get the Kids Academy apps. While she is too young to really grasp what is being taught, its still awesome that she is interested in these apps. One day (probably soon) she will understand what's going on. I love Kids Academy and can't wait to see what else they come up with!
I've been on a downloading spree trying to find some really great learning apps for my almost two year old. Kids Academy has some amazing apps! Granted she is too young for most fo these, but she is having a ball, and I can tell shes learning. She loves the characters which we have seen in previous apps we've downloaded from Kids Academy, so for her its like seeing a friend. My son, who is 10, enjoys sitting with her and playing the games with her. Even though she thinks she is just playing, she really is learning and I love that. Kids Academy has done it again!
I received compensation to download and provide my honest opinion on this app. The opinion stated is 100% mine, and not swayed by the fact that I received said compensation.
Great educational app that is fun!
There are three free games on this app - easy mazes, rhyming words and uppercase letters. The mazes are fun and easy. They show a bone laying at a dogs feet and ask the child to drag the bone through the maze to help the dog find his prize. This is very easy for little hands to do. Once the dog finds his prize (drums, a tennis racket) he briefly shows how to use the prize. The rhyming words asks the child to drag a bone to the item that rhymes with the item the dog is thinking about. I feel like this game is one that encourages parent interaction especially with smaller children. When I child picks a wrong item, the bone goes back to the dog. When they choose a correct item, the app shows both items and says the words. The spelling of both words are under the item. The last free game is uppercase letters. This one is fun. I love how they set it up showing an item such as an apple, then instructing the child using dotted lines on how to draw the letter. Once the child successfully does it, they are shown the letter and asked to draw it again the way they were just taught. These games are fun and educational. I recommend this app for all parents whose children fall into this age range.
I am working hard with my three year old and reading and writing, so I have turned to a few apps. The Kids Academy is one that has really stuck not just because I like but also because my daughter is really enjoying it!
I let her play for an hour in the morning and then an hour before bed! But in between that time frame she is nagging me to let her play it! What I am really impressed with is that she is having so much fun learning how to write her letters that she is writing them on paper also! Which is great for a 3 year old! (She will be 4 in November!). Anyway she is working very hard on learning all the letters and my goal is to have her writing them before she starts school! I believe with Kids Academy on my side I can do just that! There is a ton of fun learning activities. They are just at the right level for my daughter also! Which is really awesome! My oldest has included my youngest on this and they love laying in their room playing and having fun! I am always hearing giggles - Thanks to this amazing app!
I would say for any mother or father maybe even grandparents that are wanting to get those brains working then you need to check this out for your little ones!
