Needs lots of work...
It’s a good start but there are very few apps it actually adds access to and several are rarely used, not popular apps.
Additionally in order to use the app, once you plug in you have to acknowledge one pop up by touching ok and then a second screen about using it while driving needs to have ok clicked. This means to get in the car and actually use the app for your garage door as an example you need to start the car, plug in your phone and then navigate thru two screens/pop ups to finally connect the app. Stupid. Should be able to leave the app open and just have it connect when you plug the phone in. Better yet have the app open and automatically connect without intervention when you plug in.
So annoying it asks me every time I connect to allow. Obviously if I allowed once it’s already been allowed. Stop asking me. Please take that off. Give us terms and conditions and then allow once. Plus sometimes it doesn’t even respond.
The app worked well for a little over a year while using the XD-209 Stereo. Suddenly it stopped working. I deleted the app and d/l the app again. It still wouldn’t work again. It could possibly be a software update due within the stereo. But for a stereo that costs over $3000, I would expect more. Regardless, Alpine needs to work harder on their products to make them compatible with each other.
