Useless
Never have I ever experienced such a useless app. You can’t even control any of the functionality through the app and it doesn’t give you any information about your headphones i.e. battery life, being able to switch between music and noise cancellation seamlessly etc 😐. Probably will delete.
Garbage app…
This app is simply designed to get you to register your device for warranty purposes. It has some sort of bizarre augmented reality function that is worthless. It has a white noise generator supposedly for breaking in the speaker. …and a means of contacting tech support which I did not use.
I was hoping for some sort of control over the audio and light features of my Rockbox XL. None such exist in this app. The audio quality of my particular unit is poor. It goes from super quiet to very loud but there is no depth to the sound field.
To be fair, this could be due to my unit being refurbished and lightly damaged possibly during shipping. This unit will be going back unless the seller will take $20 for it. I will update this review when/if I get a replacement unit.
Superb route to Altec Customer Service
My phone wouldn’t pair with my Altec speakers. I was following the manual instructions. So I downloaded this App and within a few minutes, late at night, I was texting with Altec Tech Support.
A different method of pairing was suggested and that method worked! My phone and speakers are now paired. Unbelievably quick service.
Thats what this App is for - - to get quick tech support.
