Ratings and Reviews
Good App but...
This is a great app but I do agree with other users that it needs some updating. I think it should be based on grade level and you make a choice at the beginning and work into other levels. It's very annoying when it pops up to rate. Give the the user time to use it to give a honest rating. You can't rate something if u don't have time to play it. My daughter is picking up the material fast and enjoying it as well. I do like the integration of half dollar and dollar coins because she is learning those coins as well in Kindergarten at the school she attends. Doesn't hurt to be a little advanced in Math.
Cute but could be better
I looked at all of the money games carefully before deciding on this one. It's cute and kept my child's attention. However, there are several things that could be improved in the app. The relative sizes of the coins should be more life like. The visual representations make it difficult to tell them apart. There is a heavy use of half dollar and dollar coins which we really don't see much of, I'd prefer to see a heavier usage of the quarter, dime, nickel and penny. (the sizes and types of coins are the two reasons are why I gave it 3 stars...) Lastly, when you get to the fridge at the end, I don't much see the point of this and it's hard to tell what to do when you get there. (there's a refresh icon in the upper left corner that brings you back to the first screen.) Why not have a persistent menu button? All that said, it is a practical and cute way for kids to learn how to count change for purchases.
Great practical use of coins for kids
I am very impressed with this app. It has lots of practical, real ways that coins are used. Kids learn the values of the coins, how to add them together, how to make change, and more. I also like the variation of easy and hard activities so that kids don't get tired of too easy or too hard stuff. Well designed and useful app for kids!
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
