Ambee invented Dynamic Light Scenes for Philips Hue in 2013 back then known as Goldee. Carefully chosen colors, hues, shades, duration, transitions that change the colors of your bulbs and coordinate well together are hand-crafted for you.

It is a sequence of hand-crafted colors, shades at different brightness levels that move/dance/change in time to create a specific ambiance.

Transformative!

Ambee gave my Hue smart lights a completely new meaning! I had no idea of what my Hue lights were truly capable of until Ambee unlocked the possibilities for me.
The perfectly timed fluctuations and tone on the color changes put you in the very mood and setting the title of the Ambee mode is trying to invoke.
Works seamlessly after connecting to your Hue Bridge with a single click of the big white button and takes control of your lights without having to fiddle with the Phillips Hue App or overriding the ability to take control back of your lights.
I was told by Tomas, the Ambee creator, that improvements will be coming to the UI to have access to more modes from one screen. Additionally, I’d like to be able to manipulate the individual modes while also being able to revert back to the defaults of each. Siri control may be nice as well.
I look forward to ever improving updates on this app and recommend this app to anyone who wants to see what their Hue Color lights can really do.

Account disabled?

I got a new phone and couldn’t sign in. I tried several times and now the app is “temporarily” disabled. The problem is I’ve tried it several times over the past month and a half with no luck and now way to reset the password. Love the app when it works, which was always u til recently.

Update: I emailed the developer and received a response almost immediately with a link to reset my password. Ambee is my favorite Hue app again!

Some really great animations

I love this app. I have about 35 color led bulbs plus some strips in all the rooms in my apartment. I really love the dim animations as I don’t like it very bright in my home.

To the developer.

A nice feature to add would be to allow different rooms to run different animation. Oh and the in app “write a review”. It looks like the font color might be set to white on a white background.

Thanks a lot for your kind words and for your tips. You can already play different animations in different rooms. You just play Animation A in room A, then you switch the room to room B and select an Animation B.
