Bookmarks Don’t Work
All bookmarks go only to the most recent one. No matter which I click on it goes to the most recent. In order to delete an old bookmark, you cannot do it from the bookmark page, so you have to click on it first. When it only goes to the most recent bookmark, that means you have to manually go to that page by flipping through the chapters and then delete it. PLEASE FIX THIS! Otherwise what is the point of having a bookmark option?? Other than that big issue, I love the app, and I personally love the audio. Many say it is mechanical, but it is easy to hear. My past experience of real people reading the Bible was terrible, because neither my husband nor I could understand them, let alone absorb what was being read.
Amplified Bible for cell phone
I have enjoyed this version of the Bible and its amenities. For me, it has just enough descriptive text to help put the right amount of emphasis on the passages of scripture. It is a useful helping aid to illustrate and help comprehend the words of God. I would recommend this version to all who are new to the scriptures and to those who just want a refreshing view of the words of God through the power of the Holy Spirit.
My Rating of the Amplified Version of the Holy Bible
I was introduced to the Amplified Version a short time ago.
I appreciate the different ways of explaining GOD’s truths to us.
I enjoy looking up the meanings of words that are not used in every day speaking. But not everyone can do that.
I also use my smartphone to compare the different translations with the King James Version.
In my opinion, the Amplified Version breaks GOD’s Word down a little more so I can understand it better without having to look up a meaning and then find my place again.
