Faulty

Frustrating that Amway forced us to switch to a new app when the old one was working just fine — and much better than the new app. So much clutter and noise in the interface makes it much harder to find the controls and settings I need to power my Sky. Child lock also does not stay engaged anymore. Not sure why a multibillion dollar company would roll out an app that was not ready — and functions much worse than the one it replaced. Based on the other reviews, I am concerned I will lose the functionality of a machine that cost ~$1000 — all because of a faulty free app.

Frequent Updates Make The App Better

When the Amway Healthy Home app launched there was much to be desired in its functionality, especially compared to the Atmosphere Sky app. However over time the app has improved markedly. I look forward to seeing the app reach a 5 star experience like its predecessor did.

As a piece of technical advice for users struggling with connectivity, make sure your router is running your 2.4 GHz network on the B/G/N/AC/AX mode (or the B/G/N/AC mode if your router is not AX capable) and isn’t conflicting with channels from other networks around you. The Atmosphere Sky and Mini run on network mode B. If your network isn’t configured to enable mode B devices, the Atmosphere products won’t be able to discover your WiFi network. The same is true if you hide your network SSID which will cause your network to appear as “Hidden Network(#)”. Make sure your devices are up to date on their firmware and that your apps are up to date as well.

Better with last update

I wrote a review earlier about the prefilter reset being clunky, but it has been fixed with the update. I'm glad to see our feedback is being heard and acted upon; I expected nothing less from Amway- their customer service is usually stellar. So I added two more stars.

What would make this app even better (and there has been a slight improvement over the last version I had) is to have the option to add an "off" mode in the schedule. I use the Atmosphere Sky Mini at work, and only want it on while I'm working. I don't want it on night mode either. So setting up a schedule where it shuts off, was not clear in the old version. I am testing it out on this version and will see if the schedule I set works.

DarkLuminosity, thank you for your feedback and UPDATE! You will be happy to learn we are implementing the OFF option within the Schedule feature. Stay Tuned! As for your initial feedback: You should be able to reset your filter by either tapping the pre-filter indicator on your device OR through the app, by tapping your Sky unit, viewing Filter Status, and tapping on the Pre-filter. This will open the Clean Your Pre-filter screen that has a large yellow "Reset Pre-filter" button. Tap that button to reset. If you are unable to reset, we recommend you contact Amway Customer Service to help resolve this issue. Email customer.service@amway.com or call 1-800-253-6500.
