Ratings and Reviews
Doesn’t do Apple’s Portrait Mode justice.
The app works, but you have to use trial-and-error to figure some parts of it out. The "Bokeh Shape" and "Bokeh Fringe" radio buttons offer no pop-up tool-tips, and the changes they make are so subtle it is difficult to tell if any changes are being made at all.
I couldn’t wait to see what the app would be able to do with the photos I have taken with my iPhone 8 Plus in Portrait Mode, but I was extremely disappointed with the results; Apple’s ‘Photos' app does more.
Should not have cost what it did. Maybe future upgrades will boost its robustness.
'LensFlare Studio' is awesome; 'Anamorphic Pro' is so-so.
Developer Response ,
Sorry for your issues with Anamorphic Pro. A key to working with Portrait Mode photos is to adjust the Depth slider to get the focal distance right. I'm working on making this more clear in the app. The Bokeh Fringe effects are subtle for sure, but they're more visible when you render an output image. Hope this helps!
Could you add a pen tool?
The effect is really convincing and looks great, and I love the fact that I can edit photos that don’t have the depth effect, but it would be great if there was a pen tool so I could fine-tune the blur around objects and people.
I don’t have a Portrait Mode camera on my iPhone, but I do have a mirrorless camera that I take pictures with (with ACTUAL bokeh and depth of field) and I would love to be able to “convert” that into an anamorphic look by drawing with a pen tool.
Pretty please? <3 Good work so far!
Developer Response ,
Thank you for the feedback! I'm looking into the possibility of a brush tool but no definite plans. Note that you can import a depth map. Therefore, you can create the depth map with any other app. Hope this helps!
SUPER
Hello. Excellent program, but there are inconveniences. 1) Sometimes the layout of the field hangs when it is disabled. 2) It's not convenient that uploading photos through the menu is much more convenient if you can just drag the photo into the field for work. 3) You can not save all settings as a preset - each time you have to edit again. Thanks - the program is super!
