- Compatibility with El Capitan
Ratings and Reviews
It’s pretty useful, fairly easy and straightforward. But now that OSX has moved on it’s become fairly glitchy too, including the fact I can no longer get a useable video file from extraction. I tried every possible setting, lowering frame rate, lowering quality, everything. Video it spits out is distorted and worthless.
Not worth the money
Go to their website and download the freeware version before you spend the money. This is a half price intro offer for something that will run the same cost as Motion and is FAR LESS useable.
While this is an easy to use package, it is extremely limited, especially in the fact that you cannot import video into it, nor can you export from it in a format that can be used to overlay video in FCPX. This means that you are essentially limited to working with still images, with no way to combine that with video.
In my opinion, you would be FAR better off to buy Motion and learn to use it than paying even half price for this package. Realistically, this is nothing more than a $3.99 toy priced at a premium.
Works Just As Described
I've been using this app solid for 3 hours and no hiccups at all. I watched the first tutorial video then jumped in with a blank screen. I have used their CleanApp for years and it's also robust, that's largely why I bought this. You can try it in demo mode if you download it from their website. I'm running OSX 10.8.3 and it's solid. It's powerful enough for me yet easy to learn.
Note: Use a black background and overlay this movie in Screen or Lighten (try your own mode) and it /will/ make nice overlay titles for your videos. Or just use a solid background and don't try to overlay your videos, it's just a title.
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
