I really like this app, it helps a lot! I got it going into high school because I’ve always been terrible at writing in a physical planner, and saw it suggested in a story I’m subscribed to on snapchat. One problem, though... I feel like you have to pay for too many features. I know the developers need to make money, but I think they should maybe make some more features available for those who don’t want to us money on the app.
I really like how simple it is and easy to use. Anything that needs explaining is covered when you first open the app! 😄 I use this a lot. It helps me remember what I need to do for homework and it also helps me not procrastinate because it reminds me to do things I need/want to do. It also helps that I have a visual to-do list.
If you have problems remembering things you need to do, if you’re a procrastinator or if you want a planner, but don’t like having to buy one every year, I highly suggest this app.

99% of the app is completely free, unlike similar apps :) Indeed, some features are part of the Premium plan but we allow users to enjoy most of the features for as long and as much as they wish, without any 3rd party ads or a requirement to upgrade. We love hearing that Any.do is helping you with your studies and that your productivity is increasing! Keep up the great work 🤓😘

I have used this app daily since 2007, I think. After 15 years, I can honestly say it is no longer a simple and reliable tool for productivity. In the last year or so, approximately 1-5 times per month, the app freezes or crashes and has be deleted and reinstalled. When this first started, I pointed out the the constant freezing and crashing issue on the app, and they wanted me to somehow show them with the app was doing wrong, but it’s really hard to show that when it just happens out of the blue and all of a sudden crashes. That’s not something that can be easily recorded via video. I wasn’t interested in discontinuing use of the app for days while they take their time to look into the issue. It wasn’t until weeks after first reporting the bug that they finally admitted there was an issue… But mostly I just got a “thanks for your patience and we’ll look into it.” After all these years, I thought they would be willing to spend a smidge of their time investigating a known issue that they have a vested interest in correcting. I guess if you are not a premium user, they are not that interested in providing a reliable product.

Update: I do not believe that you don’t understand that this is an issue. Looking through these reviews there are lots of other people with the same complaints about the app freezing and crashing. Upon reloading, the subtasks disappear or are re-organized. There is a systemic problem, it’s not isolated to me.

Issues that affect only a single user may take time to resolve, however this does not mean that we will not do everything we can to provide a possible solution. This takes a while as we work by priority but has nothing to do with your plan's status. As explained to you, your issue wasn't reproduced nor were we able to find any problem based on the partial information you provided. We understand taking screencasts can be difficult at times but when our team cannot pin point the matter it is crucial in order to keep our investigation going. As you did not wish to comply and since we have exhausted all efforts from our end without any luck of reproducing the same on a similar device we were unable to provide you with a solution. As mentioned several times already, we would be happy to continue investigating this matter for you should you cooperate with our Support Team. With regards to issues reported by other users, crashes and freezing may be due to various reasons. All known crashes have been resolved and the user have been informed accordingly so looking at old issues may not be relevant to your specific inquery. Also, without having the exact details of you problem in the form of a screencast we are unable to confirm if this matter is related to other reports or not. As stated several times already, if you choose to continue to cooperate with our team they will gladly continue their investigation into this matter.

I downloaded this app for one reason only. It works with Alexa. Ok, I said, ill give it a try, so I got it and signed up for a month of premium ($5.99) The rest of my morning was spent trying to figure the app out. After the first three crashes, it smoothed out. The UI is simple, white back ground- no Dark Mode. You have the ability to change the font color. The screen that allows you to show all of your calendar and to dos is a scrolling clunky mess. You can get this view from any app on the market. On the To Do side, adding them is simple- not by keyboard shortcuts, unfortunately (like CMD-N) Adding repeating events is very clumsy (this feature is only available with premium) The repeat automatically defaults to the present time with no way to edit this and you cannot go into a task and edit it to repeat- this has to be done during the initial task set up. On the to do page, it gets worse. In one view (on iPad) on the left is a list of My Lists- which cannot be edited- cannot remove a list..I turned off Apple Reminders, yet there is still a box there,unused, that I can’t get rid of. There is another tab for Tags, which are color coded. Nice, but when you add a tag to a To-Do, you only get the color- not the label for the tag in the To Do view. So, this is about as far as I got with this app. I’m not happy with all of the little “quirks” and weirdness of it. Deleted it.

Recurring events are part of the free plan and only advanced recurrence options are part of the Premium plan as details here https://support.any.do/recurring-reminders/. Any type of reminder (https://support.any.do/reminders/) can also be added and edited after the initial set up of your tasks and in any point in time :) Lists can be removed per the instructions on our Help Center (https://support.any.do/lists/) and you can see the Tags titles when you choose to filter accordingly (https://support.any.do/sorting-and-filtering/). Though we're not aware of any issue with the Calendar view but our Support Team will gladly look into that and any other issue should you contact them via https://www.any.do/contact_form.
