Wow, what a piece of crap
When you first start the app it sits there for 15 seconds doing nothing. Just as you are about to give up it shows a loading indicator that keeps going for almost a minute. Every time you start the app it goes through at least a 15 second loading sequence. This is a strong clue that they have just wrapped the web app up behind the desktop interface.
When I tried to attach a file, a window popped up trying to sell on the subscription. That alone might be ok, but there was no way to get back to my tasks after that without quitting the app and starting again. That is amazingly lame. I cannot think of a less effective way to make me upgrade!
Please don’t bother with this app. It exists solely to sucker Mac users into buying a subscription, with no thought about usability or usefulness. That Apple put this thing in Best New Apps is almost scandalous.
Not useful for professionals
I really want to like this app. There are some really nice features that help it stand out from other options. Sadly there is are a couple issues that are too significant for me to conintue with my paid subsicription.
Kudos for adding natural language. That was a usability deal breaker for me and they have added the featue and it seems to work well.
The last big hurdle for me is that it only works natively with Google calendars. As a business professional we aren't allowed to put our diary on Google, it's a firable offense because data security protocols. Google has such a privacy problem that I go out of my way to avoid using any of their services in my personal life as well. .
So imagine my dissppointment, after shelling out for preimum, that it only nativly works with Google. Whn I open the App I'm greeted with "Connect Google Calendar which tells me that this really not a professional app. It really needs to be agnostic. Or leave the feature out and use API's to put notes on calendars.
I understand that I can use Zappier, but that's a poor solution . I don't want another app that I have to give access to my data too.
I would love this app if it could integrate with Outlook. So sadly I'm back to other options.

We are sorry you feel this way! It is specifically explained on our Help Center (https://support.any.do/calendar-setup/) that we currently support Google Calendar for the desktop apps, however will add more calendar clients in the near future so keep an eye out for updates :)
I wish this worked better…but it is only getting worse.
I have used this program off and on for several years—generally it works and then it doesn't. Recently my office decided to begin to use this for shared projects. Latest instance: after it not working at all for days, the service tech had me uninstall it and then download it from their website (not the app store.) After downloading and initiating it, it worked well. The next day a message appeared that said “please click to update to the latest version.” Which I did. Upon attempting to open the program I got an error message “this app does not work with your operating system”. I asked if I could restore to the previous app version—they said no. My computer is a 2 year old mac so I’m not working on an outdated dinosaur computer. Seriously, this app is more trouble that it’s worth. I’m a paid “premium” customer— not for long.

Our latest update supports 'sign-in with Apple' which is only supported on recent MacOS version. Accordingly, we have had to stop supporting previous versions in order to comply with Apple's guidelines. That said, according to your claims it sounds like you do have the latest OS so please write back to our team to clarify the problem, so that they can check this further.
