apeMatrix is a unique AU/IAA routing tool that gives you total control over what you want to do and how you want to do it.
Holding true to the standard of apeSoft, apeMatrix continues to push the limits of possibilities in music creation. Automating almost every aspect of linked control, apeMatrix brings all your creation tools together and links them both in MIDI and audio. Letting you inject all your favorite FX both AU and IAA in a very easy and intuitive way. apeMatrix can also assign its Control Manager MIDI, Accelerometer, Scrub and LFO’s to modulate every built-in parameter and any parameter available inside the AUv3 (Audio Unit Plugins).
apeMatrix offers 10 slots on each of the three Matrix grids with 2 bus slots on each grid that make it possible to interconnect all 3 Matrix. The MIDI Patch-bay also offers endless possibilities for MIDI routing and control in a similar grid design for both internal and external MIDI control. So you can send and receive MIDI and have ultimate control over where it’s routed.
Each Audio Connection on the grid has its own gain control. Just tap on the node and drag will give you the full range of volume control. Or use Mixer to controls the RAU output and automate them using apeSoft’s unique Control Manager MIDI, Accelerometer, Scrub and LFO’s to modulate every built-in parameter and any parameter available inside the AUv3 (Audio Unit Plugins).
Turn each slot on or off by a control switch on the Matrix or MIDI control. Control output, pan, mute and solo of each slot and Master output of each Matrix with the built in mixer control or MIDI control.
Route your sounds through all a series of FX or route multiple sounds through the very some FX. The possibilities are as endless as your creativity.

Really useful audio recording, mixing, DJ, sequencing tool! Every musician, sound artist & engineer, DJ, audio tech should have this in their toolbox! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ A couple of small suggestions ============ Low or minimum volume as standard or an option to adjust starting initial volume when adding a route on the matrix. When patching or routing in a live or modular like way occasionally the full volume is too much especially when trying to play with feedback & audio in a live way.An envelope or intensity variable adjustment for the LFO section. The LFOs are great but also Global Volume / Panning & LFO in mixer An global LFO option to control the sum of all parts could be very usefulAdditional LFOs in the adjustment section. Being able to place additional LFOs on any from mixer section could help w/ generative music & experimental audio & musicGUI & UXTo turn to mixer by holding 2 or 3 fingers & sliding sideways a cube, fade, flip animation effect or similar {these could maybe be options with existing animation from ios, swift, github libraries _______________________________ Thanks so much for all of the thoughts & creativity in all of your creations :)
Must have tool for sound design!
GadgetMojo
You have synths. You have fx apps. You have infinite possibilities of combining them to produce unique interesting sounds and this is the app designed exactly for that. Say you have 2 synths that you want to output through different fx and then have outputs of those go through one other fx app and then split that outgoing signal and route it to two different other fx. Make some connections stronger or more subtle (those intersecting circles are all gain controls for those connections). Can this be done in any other app? Nope, this is the only one. I like AUM, but once I have a DAW that allows me to record and edit MIDI as well as audio I’ll see no reason to keep it. (Cubasis can record audio and MIDI, but I don’t like it for editing MIDI). But even if I have a perfect DAW, I’ll still need ApeMatrix because no other app allows such flexibility for sound experimentation. You can also modulate a lot of stuff, with each control getting its own LFO. If the knob of a synth can be midi mapped - ApeMatrix can modulate it. This really expands the capabilities of the synths, basically taking them to the next level, because some synths have very limited modulation options.Great LFOs too. you can just drag two ends of sliders to select the range (for example move some knob between certain positions) this makes experimenting a breeze! One tip to quickly get started, all connections go from left to top. So whenever you place a dot anywhere, you’ve sent the signal from left icon to the top icon.Request: awesome app in every way, but it would be perfect if you could make files alphabetical. Otherwise when I come back to an older project and save as new copy with the same name (adding a version number), it places it at the bottom instead of next to the old one. It’s possible to rearrange them, but the alphabetical way is so much better. Thanks for considering!
Creates busses in Cubasis, yeah!!!

It worked! Busses in Cubasis!!! I was only interested in “hacking” busses in Cubasis, and ApeMatrix’s “MixerSendReceive” delivered the goods! I’m only rating this app 4 stars because my use case is so limited. Given the results, I’m sure that other elements of this product are equally good. Here’s how I tested in Cubasis 3.3: 1. Load 2 instances of MixerSendReceive as Sends in a piano track, one pointing to “A” and another to “B”.2. Load 1 instance of MixerSendReceive as a Send in an organ track pointing to “A”.3. Create a group “I Verb” with no source tracks. Route the output to 1/2 as usual. 4. Load an instance of MixerSendReceive as an Insert pointing to “A”. Add an Insert - A reverb plug-in pre-fader. 5. Create a group “I Delay” with no source tracks. Route the output to 1/2 as usual. Load an instance of MixerSendReceive as an Insert pointing to “B”. Add an Insert - a delay plug-in pre-fader. 5. Play my recording, raising and lowering the faders on groups “I Verb” and “I Delay”. Hear reverb on the piano and organ, delay only on the piano, when the respective fader is up. There is no need to load any other application (such as an IAP) to make this work. Apparently MixerSendReceive is designed to act as a buss within a single IOS audio host. The only challenge is that the source track still goes to the master output. If you turn down the fader or mute the source track, MixerSendReceive doesn’t get any signal (remember, it’s a send of the audio in the source track, so operates post-fader). This isn’t a huge issue if you plan well. Bravo! Saluto i programmatori italiani ApeSoft per averci dato dei veri bus in Cubasis!

I never, ever thought that there could come along an AUM killer. Enter apeMatrix. It's just as elegant, pretty, and even more efficient than AUM at setup with both its matrix and its alphabetized, sortable-by-type app menus (anyone who has a ton of music apps knows how much scrolling AUM can take to set up).I've only opened AUM once since I bought apeMatrix opening day, and only then for its file player. Latest ape update with the metronome was much needed. I'm 99% satisfied.Really the only key feature missing now is separate outs for recording, but since I just use it for jamming live and sketching out ideas to take into Auria or Cubasis, I don't really need it.
