APNG Maker 4+

The app works as advertised and allows you to easily put together simple APNGs.

However, although it allows you to set the frame rate, you can't set the duration of individual images. For example, if you set a frame rate of 20 images-per-second (which, in this tool, means setting the interval to 50 ms) and then want to display a constant image for 1 second before getting to the real "action", you need to duplicate the initial image 20 times.

That would be OK if the app recognized the duplication and only saved a single image in the generated APNG. However, that's not the case -- each duplicated image appears to be added to the APNG. This can quickly lead to unacceptably large APNG files.

I'm working with a particular software that will only accept APNG files as assetts. This is a very simple but perfect solution. I can now export image sequences and animate them for use as hot spots in my virtual tours. AWESOME. And as another said, I can drop a .mov file into it and it will render that as well. That said, you'll want a very short or lower res clip if you want a small file. All good! PS, I don't write reviews, but this creator needs some love!

I've needed to make animations for the web with an alpha channel so png is my only option that I'm aware of. I had tried other tools but the results had so many artifacts that they were unusable. This worked fine for me and its easy to use and lets you adjust the frame rate and resolution.
