An interactive fantasy adventure! It's a book. It's a game. It's an RPG. It's a Gamebook Adventure!

Please note that you do not need to have read any of the previous gamebooks in order to read and play this. The critically acclaimed series of newly imagined interactive fantasy gamebooks puts you, the reader, in control of the story! Along with a realistic dice-based battle system to fight creatures, an epic tale and beautiful artwork, The Wizard from Tarnath Tor will give you many hours of gamebook adventuring!

"Two hundred years ago, the legendary City of Tarnath Tor was destroyed as it’s defenders, the mighty wizards valiantly tried to repel an orcun horde. Now just a place set within stories and myths, it has been lost to the outside world. A chance encounter with one who claims to be a time traveller sends you on a mission to recover some magical artifacts. This search will lead you to great ruins and the dark forces who have made it their home. Who is this wizard from Tarnath Tor and how can you trust him?"

"Gamebook Adventures are fun to read – not just because the RPG mechanic draws you in and engages you in the story, but also because the stories are good fantasy fiction. The artwork is great and there is a great deal of replayability in the application, especially when you consider the hundreds of choices that can be made and the various difficulties." - WIRED.COM

"After finally making my way through the series’ newest release, I’m somewhat ashamed that I’ve waited so long to take the plunge...the only real question is, “How much longer do I think I can hold out before buying the other five volumes?” The answer: Not very." - 148APPS (4/5)

Solid, but nothing innovative.

Just finished this one. Wasn't my favorite, but not the worst one either. This one felt more like an actual RPG - you browse around town in the beginning and stock up before heading out - kinda cool, especially since you can't afford everything they offer, so you need to really think about what you want to buy. I also liked how the weapons you choose actually make a difference in the paths you can take, apart from just increasing your damage/dice. I did feel alone in this one, though - I'm assuming that was the idea, but do like it when they give you a companion. You do have the option of buying a horse in this book, however, which was a nice touch.

Awful writing, full of errors

It's like a child wrote it, or a non-English-speaker; full of bad grammar, bad spelling, and awkward phrasing. Impossible to ignore or forgive: it's a book! With long passages of nothing but reading, it's vital that the writing not be painful!

I like the idea of these books, but this was supposed to be among the best of them, and I am not impressed. It would be like having an action adventure game full of graphical glitches--it sours the whole experience.

They could rewrite it and fix the numerous issues, but I'm not expecting that will happen.

needed an editor

I've been really loving these gamebooks. This one (#6) was pretty poorly written, however, and almost ruined the experience for me. It could definitely use an editor to correct weird grammar here and there, incorrect words (it's "utmost importance" not "upmost importance") and just overall subpar storytelling. I'm hoping the seventh in the series is of higher quality.
