pretty good, kind of bugged

cool game.
runs poorly.
just lost all my save data for some reason after playing for a week.

idk why I have less settings on iOS than I did on the switch version.
idk why my iPhone 15 Pro Max has occasional framerate bogging and overheats if I play above 30fps all low settings.

idk why the whole game reset itself today, after playing for a week. but I probably won't be playing this anymore after that.
the career already felt tedious to me, but that's more of a game design preference.
losing all of that tedious effort tho, that's pretty lame.

also, if I wasn't playing with a controller I would probably be more annoyed by having zero touch control configuration options.

also, playing on a tv over usbc seems wonky. it's better when I lock it to 30fps, but disappointing.

conceptually I like this game.
the driving physics felt a bit odd to me, but not terrible. remembering dirt rally, I think that was easier to control with controller.
visually I like this game.
it feels a bit bland at times, and maybe curbed performance limiting effects are a part of that.
something about the style on this one works a bit less for me than absolute drift did.

Amazing adaptation, or will be

I’ve played the PC version of this game for a number of months and always thought it’d adapt very well to a phone game. Just my luck, this popped up on the app store just last month.

It delivers in spades as a stylized mini pseudo simulator, but it still has some issues to work out i hope to see fixed in later updates.

- notification crashes: on a handful of occasions, Ive received battery life notifications (this game is will exercise your battery) that the typical “battery save mode” or “cancel” popups that will freeze the game when you return or quit out of the stage
- no pause: to clarify, there is a pause button. However i have had two instances in which i go to pause but the button does nothing and my car careens off the map
- button layout: this is more of an amenity I’d like to see later, but the gas/brake pedal buttons are pretty close together, and the ability to choose from some layouts could benefit some big-thumbed players like myself who inadvertently accelerate of a cliffside hairpin now and again

All in all the game is incredibly fun and, I think, more pleasantly challenging in ways than the PC version. I hope some of the release issues are fixed!!

Great game major flaws.

To be honest I have been excited for this game for a while now. Preordered and got it. Game is beautiful. All the tracks, maps and cars. Hope there’s more in the future. Tho it is very frustrating when the game still doesn’t feel very optimized. My IPhone 15 Pro Max runs very hot. Only this game. I play Call of Duty mobile max settings. Devil May cry.. many power hungry and graphic intensive games. And for whatever reason this beautiful yet simple art style is cooking my phone. In an era of these super powerful phones with extreme performance I feel this should be a piece of cake. Hope to see 120 frames in the future.
