Update (5⭐️)The app is easy and pretty intuitive to use. I'm incredibly impressed with how well the app digests the important content & generates an appropriate script. The lower-tier speakers aren't as good at matching natural speech patterns but they're far from robotic. I think there is still some room for improvement with QOL features like additional custom speeds, but I feel like this is a great product as it stands. Initially, I ran into a bug but the developer responded & fixed it quickly. I regret not being more patient when I wrote the original review, but I was really excited about the potential of this app and frustrated that it wasn't working. It was 100% on me that I wasted a free trial credit. I uninstalled & re-installed the app to see if it would help my issue, and the app generated a new article it pulled from its internet feed on reinstall. I am so glad this is a responsive developer because that makes such a huge difference in the user experience and in the app market.Original (3⭐️)Hoping the developer will take note since I haven't had a response to my in-app support request or my email. I think this is a great concept, but the on the latest version, the app gets stuck on the generating article part. So you end up wasting credits.

This does exactly what it claims, and does it very well. You just put in a link to an article, whether it’s technical or news or entertainment, and it will rather quickly (within a couple of minutes) generate an audio summary. You can pick a back and forth realistic sounding podcast conversation vs. Casual tone or news style or a lecture style. You can also pick a length between 2-3 minutes up to 10-15 minutes. I have tested it with various types of articles and I am very impressed with both the quality of the summary as well as the quality of the voices. It’s a keeper.

I’ve been using ArticleCast for about 3 months now and it’s an app that’s really grown on me. I love how easy it is to add articles to my queue and how seamless the transition is from text to a fun audio experience. I typically like to catch up on interesting news so whenever I add an article, I get to have a podcast like review of the article. The AI hosts make me laugh at times because they manage to find interesting puns or jokes to add which you typically wouldn’t get just from reading an article. The UI experience is also really nice, I appreciate how warm the colors are overall and I’ve been finding it pretty easy to use.If you’re like me and you have a ton of bookmarks for articles you think you’ll read later, you might like this. You’ll actually be able to get through them (finally) lolHighly recommend!

I have a massive "read later" list that I never actually touch, but this app has finally helped me clear it. The AI voices are surprisingly natural—not robotic at all—and it feels like I’m listening to a professional podcast. I love that I can just share a link from Safari and have a 5-minute summary ready by the time I start driving. The new PDF upload feature is also a huge plus for work documents!
