Description

The HPE Virtual Intranet (VIA) client is a secure VPN service for users who need corporate connectivity at home, temporary sites, or while they’re mobile. VIA is completely Wi-Fi-aware. From a non-corporate network – such as a home WLAN, 4G/LTE, 3G or public Wi-Fi network – VIA automatically launches a VPN-on-demand connection to the data center. Connectivity and authentication occur transparently with no complicated logins. VIA client software leverages the same role-based and stateful firewall policies for local and remote network access to ensure a consistent end-user experience, regardless of location. It can also be configured to allow separate access roles and policies on the same end point, depending on where the user logs into the network.

KEY FEATURES:
• Simplify VPN services by integrating directly with HPE Aruba Networking Controllers and Gateways
• VPN users can authenticate with the same credentials they use for WLAN
• Dynamically apply and enforce access policies based on the user’s role
• Connection over IPsec or SSL
• Support for 2 factor (2FA) one time password (OTP) based authentication using RADIUS
• Support for personal identification verification (PIV) smart card authentication

REQUIREMENTS:
Supported on HPE Aruba Networking Controllers or Gateways running AOS 6.5 and higher or 8.0 and higher. Requires VPN subscription installed on the Controller or Gateway.
Supported on macOS 10.14 and later releases

Unable to connect since upgrade to version 4.4.2

Version 4.4.0 seemed to work okay. Not great, but not horrible. Version 4.4.1 started to show problems. Connecting was often a problem having to restart the app or cycle through different connection servers until one finally connected without the "unexpected error" message. Now, vrsion 4.4.2 is a complete disaster. It never connects. Cycling between servers never works. Sometimes it will tease for an extended period, like it might connect, before finally timing out. Maybe our IT department has something misconfigured that used to work but new versions are more sensitive to the issue. However, I must say the useless error messages provided by the app deserve a one-star rating even if it is a misconfigurtion issue. Useless messages like "unknown error" or "unexpected error" are an insult. How can anyone debug what is going wrong?

Horrible

This software auto starts on my mac at each login. However, the developer thought it a good idea to try and hide this. It was not in my login items on my user account nor in the launch folders. stay away

No longer works

I had to install this software to access my university network, but it no longer works after their latest update. Not sure why they would roll this out in the middle of a lockdown without first testing on different versions of MacOS.. Ended up in the trash
