Asphalt 9 - Legends 12+

I've been a Mac/iPhone user for more than a decade, and in a sense I feel that I've grown up with this game. I'm reviewing Asphalt 9, but I feel it appropriate to mention all of the other versions - in my previous years, I would play and enjoy those too.

The graphics in this particular version are insane (check out Asphalt 4 if you don't believe me) - the game has changed over the past decade, as any series would, but the game not only keeps its original elements - but it also adds new and exciting content.

The only negative thing I could possibly say is that back in the day you were able to just buy the Asphalt games, now they're free to play - with lots of 'add ons' you can purchase. Then again, with that said, we do not live in the 2010 world of gaming.

This is an incredible game, one that you can more or less play without paying - but if you want a concept car to destroy all of your oponents, then you maybe should do an in-app purchase. Then again, how much fun is that? It doesn't match the feeling when your default car eliminates the competion with your planning and skill. Thank you GameLoft!

The interface in the menu, the privacy practices, the crappy fuel and money system to make people think they have a lot of money but dont. Earning credits is so easy but at tiny chunks compared to value of the "store" but also The LEGEND pass is highlighted in gold and always displaying some sort "deal" but actually real money. The whole game is a money driven game nothing was made towards the benefit of success through making a good game. Just taking as much as possible.

The mechanics are good however the cops are freaking stupid in this game because they go instant speed or match the current speed X Mph so they always go faster and are hard to wreck but the limited races as well in regards to the blueprint system is a scam genius and never really realized it. the "reccomended rank" and the legend store XD so dumb and complete pay to win. If many people still cared the game would be cheated in two seconds and then would cause the problems of the developers inflating currency and crashing the game. tbh probably a good thing.

Love the racing aspect of thius game and has nice graphics. Unfortunately that's where the praise ends :((
Most if not all cars needed to actually progress are locked behind Real-money pay-walls - the card packs are never what the card pack suggests, unless it is a "low level" card pack anyway - there seem to be the same 20-30 car-blueprints given to EVERY card drop regardless of event. Progress is painfully slow.
Point blank - this has become a pay-to-win game - do not kid yourself. There are 40-70 items on sale for Real-money always in the "shop" - makes you wonder how money hungry they (gameloft) really is. The customer service is ok - yet my interactions with them has shown that they (customer srvice) seems to not even play the game in question -
The racing is fun and adictive, no doubts. Just dont get your hope too high on anything else.
