After setting up an account on the computer and setting up employees with the app I’m able to track tools, vehicles, and equipment with Asset Tiger. It’s extremely fast updating across platforms once a change is made, super in-depth customizations allows me to get a notification or email anytime someone checks out or checks in equipment. I can send daily or weekly reports to know what equipment is at which job-site and know who checked out what tools and what vehicle they’re in. I’m beyond impressed. AND it’s 100% FREE for the first 250 assets. Once you go above that it’s $120 a year for 500 assets. That is super affordable. After putting asset tags on everything, all it takes for an employee to check in/check out equipment is for them to open the app and scan the barcode on the tag, then they can check out the equipment to their vehicle or a job site, or check it back into inventory. Before I was using a spreadsheet and it took so much time track everything and update the sheet, but now it’s extremely fast and I can send an email to an employee to remind them to turn in tools or equipment. This has saved me so much time and made my life so much simpler. I’m so impressed with this asset management app.
This is by far the best “middle ground” asset management software. Positives:It’s fairly easy to set up; The scanning is pretty smooth; Lots of customization and tailoring to your needs; CSV, Excel, and PDF exports; ReportsNegatives:Glitchy at times. Tried to search for a person/employee and nothing happened. Closed out app, tried again, nothing; the app sometimes gets in a hung state and is unable to do anything until you close the app and even that that doesn’t always work; the FREAKING LOGIN PROBLEM IS THE WORST. Sorry, this is possibly the worst design of this app. If you login via Google, you will login seemingly all. The. Time. Closed the app for more than 5 minutes? Login. Closed the app? Login. Sneezed too hard??? Login. Oh, and every login is paired with a Captcha challenge. Hey, AssetTiger, use passkeys! That’s what they’re designed for! Oh, want to send an email to someone? Captcha. So EVERY time someone checks a device out and you want to email them a record, complete ANOTHER captcha. Honestly, if there were another option besides AssetTiger at this price level, I’d switch in a HEARTBEAT. I’m even still considering just going back to managing it manually via spreadsheet. At least then I wouldn’t have to login to my spreadsheet every 5 minutes.
This is the only option out there of you need a asset management app and are not the size of a Fortune 500 company. All the functionality you need and more. Don't bother looking at any other apps to solve you asset needs, I already wasted hours doing this before finding AssetTiger. I am not affiliated with them just amazed at their product, after assuming there was nothing on the market that was available to me (not willing to pay 50$ a month for software) I was elated to find this.
I can not believe how simple this software is to use. I setup my asset management system on the pc then use the app as my barcode scanner for the warehouse. Would work great for an iPad to track assets in the warehouse. App has a very simple view for all assets and doesn’t provide the feature for reports but for a free service up to 250 assets, this software fits my needs perfectly. Also the developer did a phenomenal job on the layout, very clean and organized
Love the quality of my asset tag, love the features of the app and database, but scanning is tough.Really need the ability to be able to zoom in by picking the different camera options on the iPhone. As it is, your hand and phone end up creating shadows when try to get close for a scan. Half the time typing the number is faster but that’s not ideal. Otherwise it works well and the app is the easiest way to add photos of inventory items. So it’s great to have, just fix the scanning.
What a wonderful service that My Asset Tag provides to customers. I didn't even know we would get access to this service with our tag purchase. It has made our life of managing our assets much more manageable. Very quick replies to emails, including when I emailed support noting that the scanner stopped working in iOS 10. Team responded and quickly fixed the problem.
