It is worth it to me to keep mine operational

I just got the latest greatest iphone, but nonetheless, with 4 bars of AT&T coverage showing, I still could not make calls or use the internet without wifi. During the set up call for transferring my new number, the rep confirmed that all my calls were being assisted by the microcell. I couldn’t get it to recognize my new phone but he “logged into troubleshooting”, he said, then M-cell reappeared on my phone. Honestly my AT&T plan would be barely worth it without this product as when I am away from the house, most calls fail. (There’s only 2 AT&T towers for a town that spans 7 - 10 miles).

MicroCell support and devices discontinued

As a longtime customer of AT&T Wireless, I have been utilizing the MicroCell for almost 5 years now and actually owned two before the older model decided to no longer function. After troubleshooting myself, I decided to contact AT&T Wireless tech support. The ended up telling me that they had disconnected the product altogether due to the "Wi-Fi Calling" feature now rendering the MicroCell useless. In fact, I was supposed to receive a phone call two days ago and I'm still waiting for someone to provide an answer on whether they will replace the MicroCell that malfunctioned. My guess is that no one will receive a satisfactory answer to your questions. Good luck everyone!

I have kept my old microcell working by replacing the power supply 3x, using supplies with more current capability. It can be not working and still have all green lights on. Every few weeks I have to remove power to force a reset so it will connect our phones. The app is pretty much useless, I can only log into it from the ATT online troubleshooting. The app never lets me successfully log into it to do admin stuff. Also, WiFi calling is not a good substitute. We have WiFi calling on but have frequent dropped calls if the microcell is out to lunch. Cell signal is poor even though we live in a well populated area of Orlando.
