Long ago, the kingdom of Lantarna prospered from the blessings of a white comet that passed overhead. The art of harnessing the comet's blessings was called alchemy, and the practitioners of this art were known as alchemists.
However, when the comet disappeared and its blessings were no longer available, the use of alchemy gradually declined and was eventually forgotten.

Many years have passed, and in a corner of Lantarna two girls have a fateful meeting.
One is Resna, who has found hope in alchemy and is on her way to the Capital, aiming to travel to the World’s End where the source of the miracle is said to lie.
The other is Valeria, a girl who has lost her memories and now lives in the city while doing rough work as an adventurer for the Moonlight Society.

Behind them looms the shadow of the group known as the Polar Night Alchemists, a dark organization shrouded in mystery.
With different motives and ambitions intertwined, the two eventually come closer to the truth that lies dormant on the continent.

Extremely polished

This is a well polished gacha game that finds a way to not miss when bringing charm to a new atelier title. You must understand a lot of new to mobile players will be here for the first time and bash on the game without giving it a fair chance. They also are comparing this to a mainline pc / console variant when it should be compared to other mobile turn based games. Anyways I digress , there is a lot of charm in this beautiful and engaging game. Ty koei for taking a chance and bringing this to the global player base <3 a lot of us are really grateful.

Decent Gacha Game

This game is a great gacha game, though it’s not a game that will replace smash-hit gacha games like Genshin Impact and Fate Grand Order. Play it for what it is - and if you want more of the same gameplay without the gacha system, there is a Atelier title out there to try. Go play Nelke & the Legendary Alchemists - the game is on Steam & Nintendo Switch. The gameplay resource loop Atelier Resna has is basically taken from Nelke, with Nelke using its materials to build up a town whereas Resna uses its materials to make your characters stronger to progress in the storyline.

Just note that this version is 4 months behind the original Japanese version currently- with certain game characters/memoria missing due to the two differing game calendars (JP will have a number of characters & memoria that won’t be available to EN for several months due to being locked behind Holiday events.) That said, because EN is behind, it’s easier to know when a new meta character will be coming.

In terms of your wallet - it is on the more expensive side as a 10-pull will cost ~$20USD. There is also no pity system - only a shard system that requires a lot of pulls before you get enough shards to get Characters via the shard shop.

Decent Service, Boring Gameplay

The gameplay in this game is beyond boring. You’re using only one skill per character. Rarely you’ll use their skill 1 AKA their wait command. And even more rarely will you use their ultimate. The atelier system could not be more shallow and useless in combat. The stat boosts are minimal compared to the rising ranks of enemy stats. The recommended power vs actual power means nothing if your characters aren’t exactly designed against the enemy. This doesn’t prompt strategy, just getting lucky on gacha pulls. Noted, you won’t feel this unless you’re around the 5-6K power mark. This game has so much service but so little return. You feel like you can do a lot and get many rewards and get stronger, but at the end of the day you’ll realize you actually didn’t do a lot and barely raised a stat by a couple parameters. And all this is a total shame, because the framework for good combat is there. The amazing art style is there. It just gets used so poorly
