Athena Gun Detection Alerts 4+

Life saving application of AI. Quick and accurate gun detection with a great easy to use interface... This app is the future of security.

Whoever was dumb enough to write that this app was life saving and could save your life deserves to get sued. I put out 4 different sized legally owned weapons ranging from a 9mm Baretta, an AR15, a 12 gauge shotgun and a .50 BMG, I chose a range of surfaces from tile floor, brown carpet, white wall, blue blanket, light blue denim, and ranges of 6’ 12’ and 18’ at a height of 4’ 8’ 12’ and 16’ for each to simulate the Photos and descriptions.
Now an active shooter would never carry a .50 BMG into an situation as reload time, weight and magazine size make it useless, if it were a sniper this would be practical. So the app didn’t pick up the BMG

The 9mm it did pick up at a distance of 6’ at height if 4,8’ but failed all others.
The AR15 again it picked up at 6’ at 4,8,12’ and at 12’ it picked up only at 8’ height when carried level to the body with a white shirt on but had to be a bright surface
The shotgun had similar effects as the AR at 6’ at 4’ and 8’ and 12’ at height of 4 and 8’ if held horizontally on a bright surface with enough time for the app to recognize.

These tests were done with an iPhone 12 max pro

This app is not a good substitute for common sense and situation awareness. At 6’ you’ll hear the crack of gunfire before you see it.
This app does nothing other than give a false sense of security
