In a world where Titans control everything, humanity lives surrounded by 50-meter Walls. Protected from the Titans' wrath, humanity has found safety, at the cost of its freedom.

A 10-year-old boy named Eren Jaeger dreams of one day seeing the outside world. His fellow villagers have given up trying to go beyond the Walls, content with the peace within. Dissatisfied with their complacency, Eren compares humanity's situation to cattle living in a pen.

Everything changes, however, when the Colossal Titan appears and overcomes the Walls. It is then that Eren's dreams, and the peace humanity had enjoyed begin to crumble...

■ Eren Jaeger (Voiced by Yuki Kaji)
A boy who dreams of the world beyond the Walls, he entered the Cadet Corps in the hope of one day joining the Scouts. His fiery passion often makes him reckless.

■ Mikasa Ackermann (Voiced by Yui Ishikawa)
She has lived with Eren ever since he saved her life when they were young. She lives to protect him now, wearing the scarf he gave her all year round.

■ Armin Arlelt (Voiced by Marina Inoue)
Named by his grandfather, he is the smart, though somewhat weak and timid childhood friend of Eren and Mikasa. He is the one who taught Eren about the world outside the Walls.

■ Levi (Voiced by Hiroshi Kamiya)
Captain of the Scouts. He is known as mankind's strongest soldier. His teammates affectionately call him simply "Captain."

■ Erwin Smith (Voiced by Daisuke Ono)
Commander of the Scout Regiment. He is a ruthless, relentless leader, which has earned him the respect of even Levi himself.

Not for Everyone

This game is fantastic as hell. Right off the back this game gives the hype and sensation of the franchise with its OST. Oh my god. The music is one of AoT key features and this app capitalizes on that! The gameplay isnt anything new on the table of gacha and unit collectors but it is still fun and easy to play. However that does not make it easy. The game increasingly gets harder real fast. I love that your able to re roll your first summon for free forever until your satisfied. I rolled till Annie dropped and shes been helping me through story. Just actually got 5star Christa too a few minutes ago. Summon rates seem okay. The game will get reptative because you will need to grind older stages to power up your cadets. Luckily theres skip functions so you dont have to manually fight. The event seems bountiful and cool as well and there is a guild feature to enjoy in game with friends! The story follows the anime so expect to enjoy the story fully. The voices are also super crisp and nice to hear. All in all, give it a go. Ever AoT fan should, I love it and hope the devs support this app for a very long time to come!!!

I like where this is going...

So far this is a great game for the fans who have wanted a AOT game for a while. I’ve been playing for a couple hours and it is super fun. I also love how they play Shinzou wo Sasageyo as the start screen. But overall, besides me needing out, this is a great strategy game that makes you think and has good features and graphics. I can’t wait to see where this will go in the future.

Also, the part where you get new characters reminds me of the Dokkan Battle summons and I love that game art.

No, but where’s Miche?

All in all the game has good bones. The battles start easy but get harder and require knowing which units to use. Skip tickets reduce the repetitive elements (and there are a LOT of repeat battles). It has fun little episodes for a bunch of the characters, expanding on the story we all know from the anime/manga. For the game being relatively new to global release it’s not bad.

The gacha rates are pretty standard, although the five star pool has two banner units with a number of other five stars diluting the pool and reduces the chances of getting the unit you want. This would be forgivable except the crystal costs are pretty steep.

Which is the biggest down fall to this game. The game is a bit too thirsty for crystals and only hands out smatterings of crystals. Yes you can f2p, but you might get bored with the down time and move on quickly saving up for pulls. I’d recommend playing it a week before dropping big bucks to be sure you aren’t wasting your money.

I do have a personal peeve that Hange (and I’m betting Nanaba) have a gender assigned to them. I find this especially lame since AoT collaborations in other games have managed to respect that, but the official game failed. I do understand folks aren’t used to they/them/their as pronouns in standard usage yet, but a lot of us in the fan base are. Just sort of a downer for me personally, not a real flaw to the game.
