1. Implemented auto metadata tagging. If source file has metadata such as artwork, title, author etc., Audiobook Wizard will use it as the book metadata e.g. Title metadata becomes chapter names etc. Metadata is extracted as soon as files are added. The first file encountered with metadata is used as the metadata source. 2. Audiobook Wizard window is now re-sizable. 3. Bug fixes. Improved behavior when user cancel operation.

1. Fixed build problem with multi volume audiobooks. Depending on source files, you may experience no sound during playback. 2. Fixed the "Play immediately" option button broken in version 4.60. 3. Improved library management. Remove duplicate books when iTunes preference is set to make copies of media added to iTunes library.

For users using the iTunes option "Keep iTunes Media folder organized", fixed possible issue with multiple volume audiobooks being out of order during playback.

Fixed compatibility with OS X 10.9 Maverick

1. Version 3.0 implements several often asked for features and improvements. 2. First visible change is users are no longer asked to choose a file location for the completed audiobooks. Instead, all audiobooks will be save in the user's Music folder under the "Audiobook Wizard" subfolder. This folder will also be revealed to user automatically upon completion of conversion process. 3. Second visible change is the option to add audiobooks to iTunes automatically. If iTunes wasn't running before, adding an audiobook does not necessarily also open the iTunes window. Not to worry, the book was added just the same even if you don't see any visible activities. Click on iTunes icon to inspect addition to book library. If you choose to add books to iTunes automatically and iTunes is configured to manage its own library, then you may choose to delete all audiobooks stored in the user's "Music\Audiobook Wizard" as there is a duplicate copy in the iTunes library. 4. Not so visible is vast improvement in drag and drop capability of the app. - Previously, when a file is drag drop into the app, it will be added to the end of the file list. Now files can be inserted anywhere within the list by targeting with the mouse pointer. - Adding a new file to an existing list causes the list to be resorted. Which is not always intended by the user. This behavior has been changed. However, as a result, files are no longer automatically sorted when added to the app. Please click on sort button to make sure the order is correct. 5. You can now drag and drop files directly from iTunes. To do so, click on the playlist and select all the files you want and drag/drop these into the app. As a bonus, files are ordered in Audiobook Wizard exactly as they appear on iTunes itself. This is great if you have been using iTunes to maintain your audio files. Even if you don't, you may want to use iTunes's powerful file management tools to sort files into proper order first before dropping them into the app. 6. Lastly, there is also an option to begin playback immediately upon completion of an audiobook. If this is a multi part audiobook then playback begins when the first part is completed. 7. Other bug fixes and improvements.

Changes in version 2.20 1. Speed improvement. Upto 6X faster than version 2.0 in standard quality mode! If you use CD Stereo mode, it's upto 3X faster. Hard to believe but true. I found some incredible efficiencies to improve the conversion time. A 12 hours book takes only 8 minutes in standard mode (13 min in enhanced mode, 18 min in CD stereo mode) to convert but in previous version, can take up to an hour. I tested this on an i5 macmini so your actual time taken may vary depending on your hardware. 2. Added option for encoding quality. Now you can choose CD Stereo, Enhanced or Standard. Enhanced is equivalent to Audible's enhanced audio quality while standard equals Audible Format 4 which is mp3 quality. Standard quality is ok for most people but I usually use Enhanced mode (I delete books after listening so storage size is not a problem for me). CD Stereo is the same as Audible enhanced quality but in stereo. Use this option if you have an unusual use case e.g., creating a stereo podcast. 3. Maximum size for an Enhanced mode file is about 400MB and contains about 13 hours of audio. In CD Stereo mode the file size is roughly 50% larger than Enhanced mode for the same length. In Standard mode, you can have a 37 hours book in a single file contained in 540MB. However, it's ok to choose as high a quality as you want, Audiobook Wizard will split books into multiple files if the size of any one part exceeds the maximum allowed. On the other hand, standard mode encodes at least twice as fast as CD Stereo mode. Always try creating an audiobook with a small sample of your source files. Depending on the original file's encoding & sampling rate, the outcome may not be right for you. Try first, listen and make adjustments. Default setting is Enhanced mode. For most people, the default is fine so you won't have to do anything. 4. Better indication of conversion process. Shows you which file is being converted at any time. 5. Uses significantly less memory while running. 6.
