Brings back auto-starting applications with hidden windows to macOS 13.3 or later.

Autostarter is a small app that makes it possible to launch applications automatically during login without letting the applications show windows, even with macOS Ventura or later. This feature, which Mac users loved, can now still be used, although it had been dropped with the introduction of macOS 13.

Autostarter can fully supersede the function "Login Items" for the launch of applications. The automatic start of other objects, for example server connections, can still remain in System Settings.

It's the real deal for a buck

I sorely missed 'hiding' apps. This is the fix.

For me, settng "At Login time:" to " Show activity icon in upper right corner" was the only way to not get Launched Application notification notification that would then need to be closed. You'll see what I mean when you set the options.

Autostarter is a keeper!

When I upgraded to Ventura, I was shocked to discover Hide had been removed from Login Items.

Google quickly found a MacRumors Forum topic that introduced me to Autostarter, which I have launching 18 apps at login. I've set 5 to Hide, including 3 that ignored my Hide settings in earlier macOS releases. Highly recommended!

Yes, indeed

This is the little app that can (to the extent tested, just downloaded). The sigh of relief and contentment resonated through the house. Why Apple removed the hide on start, don't know. But for a buck, don't care. My workflow has been restored and life is good.
