Easy as pie
Only challenge is to know where your AVCHD files are, but this is not an issue with the program at all. I just dragged the entire PRIVATE folder from my LUMIX camera into the app and it instantly and without fuzz translated all the videos into MOV files located in the Movies directory, but this is clearly indicated. Good quality of the translated files and in my opinion the process was as easy as it can be if you have to deal with the unfortunate AVCHD video file format. I am overall very well pleased. Thank you!
A very nice conversion result!
There are builds of FCP that will pull in the AVCHD footage from my Sony camcorder - and then there are builds that won't. Using MacOS Mojavi, FCP was able to see the footage and built a clip for it, but I could never use it. The video would never Import and the files would play without the audio track. This program solved the issue by allowing me to pick the AVCHD package and extract the 3 videos contained inside of it - then convert all 3 to a .MOV file that I can now use (with audio) in an FCP project.
Great App - So Long As Updates are Released
This app has been a great help, to quickly convert my Sony AVCHD files to MOV for editing and publishing. I send my sincere appreciation to the developer/s. Please, though, keep the app updated with iOS and MAC updates. For a breif period, the app quit working. However, an update was released that allowed the app to work again. Keep the updates coming!!!! -I highly recommend this app, to those using AVCHD devices!-
