You don't need an account to access the cleaner. Seriously, don't waste time trying to make an account or log in. The scanners take seconds to complete, and clearing junk or deleting duplicates is easy. The whole app is minimal and straightforward, really, so it's easy to clear out junk files, logs, duplicates, etc. to keep everything running smoothly. -1 star for feeling a little too minimal at times

I’m on an iMac, late 2011, with 12GB of RAM, running El Capitan. I’ve used other “apps”, but none has returned more space the "AVG Cleaner". Have it for more than 1.5 years, I run this app every month & usually re-claims about 1.3GB including many hidden files. I like to keep my iMac “clean” also by using Dr. Cleaner which offers Disc Cleaning & Memory Optimization, (removes previously closed apps footprint automatically).Would highly recommend this app! And it’s Free.

Says I have my login email in there already. Can't recall the password, and have tried resetting several time, is taken, but then going back to this APP, says that either my email sign in or password is wrong, do not match which is WRONG. So I can never trying using this, so un-install it with each attempt (Several, so far). And since I won't put my email addy out here, I guess no one can tell me HOW, WHY.

This is the best cleaner I’ve used. I’ve tried other programs, but I wasn’t too impressed with them, I always came back to this one.The only suggestion I’d make is when I clean my system and I have Safari open, it says I need to quit Safari before I continue. It would be nice if this app closed it for me.Great app!Edit (October 3, 2018): Still a great app and I use it alot but it's been two years since it was last updated and I'm beginning to notice problems with this app running on macOS Mojave that I have not had running on older versions of macOS. Plus, this app really needs dark mode. Please update it!

This is the best cleaner I’ve used.
