The Best Ever

I would like to say that renting through Avis has never been easier. I had difficulty finding the Avis preferred location at the Orlando International Airport (MCO) which, I can’t say is Avis’s fault. That is solely the responsibility of MCO and their terrible signs and markings which are not clear at all on where to go. With that being said, once I did find the Avis Preferred area on the second floor of the parking garage, their service was top notch! The gentleman at the service was super friendly, which, was a so welcome after walking the half mile (I don’t know how far it was from baggage claim, back across the airport to get outside where the rental car service was, but it felt like it) with two very young kids, four suitcases, two car seats and a two and a half hour flight. He was very knowledgeable about the entire process of checking in and was effective in relaying verbally of what he needed from me with a face mask on (I often have difficulty understanding people with face masks and heavily reliant on reading lips). The entire process took less than five minutes and my car was already waiting for me near the counter! He told me that if I downloaded the Avis app, it would be just as simple to return my rental. He wasn’t lying! The app tells you where to park your rental, the procedure and that’s it! You just leave and go about your day.
I rented a 2020 Jeep Compass Trailhawk and it was in excellent condition for having had well over 20k miles on it.

Impressed!

I was having a hard time finding a rental company that didn’t cost me a fortune plus a deposit on top of that! This company worked with me and I didn’t have to go into detail and explain myself as I often feel I have to, I am very comfortable in their vehicle! In fact I actually love it! 2020 Kia Optima. Since I’ve had the car, it’s been a complete turnaround on my mentalState of mind.,It has greatly affected my moodAnd emotional status in a positive way! I recently lost my Toyota Camry and the unfortunate car accident on route 1A. I had only liability insurance and unfortunately I didn’t have collision. My insurance company paid the other party involved in the accident $7905! When my car is completely totaled, they hit me, and they were able to drive off! Their front bumper was a little damage sure, anyway that’s besides the point clearly I’m still upset about it. But besides all that, yes I have been extremely grateful and hopeful that I can get a lot done while I have this rental so I can get old blue back on the road! So thank you Avis company for working with me!The two young folks that were working the desk the day I picked up the car we’re extremely kind and helpful and got me in right away! The airport was pretty dead because of the snowstorm but they both seemed like they took pride in their job and we’re also dressed very nicely by the way! Very professional! I love the app I love the rental car I love everything you guys are awesome! 👍👍😊

Ft Lauderdale airport lack of customer service

By no fault of my own, I chose a Mercedes SUV that was parked in the exchange lane, when I got to the exit gate, I was not allowed to leave. The gate attendant needed a second opinion and the person who came to assist was rude and said that we had to return the car to the exchange lane as it should not have been parked there. When asked why? She rudely responded that it was not her fault because she didn't park it there and she was not going to allow us to leave in it. She would call a manager to come out. When asked to call the manager prior to us moving - she responded with "calm down and just move the car". We then waited for several minutes for a manager. The manager ran up to the vehicle telling us that we could not have the vehicle due to flaws with the rear tire. It now had gone from being mistakenly parked to having mechanical issues. At no point did someone offer anything to help to rectify their mistake. Except that we all could get back out of the car with our luggage and go back inside. Pretty disappointing.
