Avy is your gateway to reliable avalanche and weather information, providing access to the Northwest (NWAC), Sawtooth (SAC), Sierra (SAC), Bridger-Teton (BTAC), Flathead (FAC), Mount Washington (MWAC), Crested-Butte (CBAC), Mount Shasta (MSAC), Central Oregon Avalanche Center (COAC), and Bridgeport (BAC) Avalanche Centers. Stay tuned for an ever-expanding network of avalanche centers with future updates.

View streamlined, up-to-date avalanche and weather forecasts for your selected zone, use offline caching, and submit observations on the go. All the info and functionality you want at your fingertips.

Key functionalities:

- Streamlined Trip Planning: With a simple tap, you can access the avalanche forecast, weather forecast, weather stations, and zone-specific observations. To minimize scrolling, forecast components are collapsible, and navigating between zones is easy.

- Offline Caching: The mountains don’t always provide a strong signal, so Avy has integrated offline caching. Even when you're off the grid, you have access to forecasts, weather data and observations you previously viewed.

- Observation Submission: Our forecasters rely on your feedback, and contributing to your community by submitting observations has never been easier. Offline caching allows you to submit your observation without connectivity and it’ll automatically upload when you get back to service.

- Weather Data Optimization: Checking weather station data is crucial for understanding what you’ll find when you get to the mountains. With Avy, it’s easy to select your weather station and tease out the information you’re looking for.

Very well thought out

The layout fits well with the workflow for planning a backcountry outing. The av forecast -> weather forecast -> weather data and telemetry -> zone observations. The collapsible menus on the forecast page allow for easier navigation and top/bottom banners enable easy switching between content areas. The recently added page share feature will work great for collaborative tour planning. Thanks y’all!! 🙌🏻

So stoked!

This is the first app review I’ve written, but I’m so pleased with how this has turned out that I have to say as much. For me, it’s been a skis-on-easy transition from my old routine of keeping various tabs open (key stations, weather and avy forecasts, etc.). The interface puts the top line info front and center while still letting me reach the details as needed. Great work!

So nice!

Huge upgrade over saving links. New app seems seamless, super easy to navigate (much better than website for viewing on mobile). The access to weather station data in 2 clicks is personally my favorite. Thanks devs!!
