Have the Tides on your desktop!
A long time ago we built Mr. Tides, as the Mac had no good tide program available. Over time that became AyeTides for the iPhone, and AyeTides XL for the iPad. Now, in an upgrade to modern practices, we present AyeTides for your desktop!
AyeTides displays tides and currents for over 12,900 locations worldwide. Unlike many other tide apps or tide websites, viewing the tides on our app does not require a network connection. Sailors, harbor pilots, beachcombers, nature photographers, and others use AyeTides Mac to plan outings on or around the world's oceans.
There are several ways to view the tides - graphically for the day, or on a calendar, or as a list that can span the entire year. AyeTides provides the hours of daylight as well as times when the moon is visible. Our app supports printing, and you can use Dark Mode on MacOS Mojave and Catalina.
AyeTides is updated regularly. Stations are added whenever new data is available.

STILL Incompatible with Sonoma
UPDATE: Thos app was just updated, but still can't export to Calendar. (Current version of macOS Sonoma running on an M1 iMac.)
Running under macOS Sonoma 14.1, this app has lost the ability to export to Calendar. Developer has been unresponsive.
Years behind the iPhone version
I regret my purchase and contacting Hahn Software failed with " Sorry! This server is unable to send email from this domain: icloud.com. Please try sending from a domain on this server." WHAT?
The UI is awkward, and the product is more difficult to use than on the iPhone. It shoudl be easier. I apprecaite the indication of current direction (e.g. 249º) on the iPhone app, here you only get F or E. Among the islands of the Salish sea, it is not always clear what direction ebb or flood are. Date stickiness is even worse and all is just very awkward and poorly presented. I will cosnider the money spent an investment in a lesson learned. My iPhone will be more useful in my route planning.
