Description
Learn Eastern Armenian the easiest way through the AYOlingo app.
No matter your proficiency in the Armenian language, AYOlingo provides an easy and free learning experience for Armenian language learners.
The app currently has 90 modules, with 30 more to be released in the future. The app will help you learn Armenian and teach you:
- the basics of the Armenian language
- grammatical tenses
- animal names
- common phrases
- feeling expression
- numbers
- adjectives
- food
And much more.
The app also has a vocabulary section to help you look up the words in the Armenian language easier.
You can also follow your friends and see their progress in learning Armenian. Some friendly competition will, of course, help you learn more efficiently through our leaderboard.
The app teaches you Armenian through a variety of exercises:
• Fill in the blank in phrases
• Fill in the blank in the dialog
• Translate the phrases
• Translate the dialog
• Select the translation of the phrase
• Select the word in the picture
• Match the words
• Match the phrases
• Complete the phrases
• Practice pronunciation
• And much more...
There is also the option to Test Out of a module. If you feel like you're understanding a particular practice well enough, you can skip the lessons and AYOlingo will create a test for you. If you pass, then you're finished with the module! For those who want to challenge themselves, there is a Master Review. This takes the lessons in all of the modules and combines them with everything you've learned. Think of it like an Armenian language final exam.
The app currently doesn't teach the Armenian alphabet, but that feature will be added in the future.

Fix this please!
I’m so glad this app exists. I speak Western Armenian but am heading to Armenia in a week and this has been a super helpful tool in learning how to understand the eastern dialect. The app has one major problem that has made it unusable for me at he moment.
I’ve reached the third lesson of the 18th module, Food 1, and I can’t progress because one of the questions is broken. The multiple choice question for Chicken (meat) has no correct answer. I thought I might have been wrong at first (obviously I know the word for chicken) so when it came up again I picked something else, but that was wrong too. I tried all the answers and none of them registered as correct. Because of the way the app is structured, it won’t let you continue on to the next lesson without completing the previous one 100%. This is extremely frustrating and I hope you can fix this soon.
Otherwise, this is an amazing app for learning Eastern Armenian! Maybe someday there might be a Western Armenian version too???
Great app, but has errors
So I’m learning Armenian. I know the alphabet so I can read write but have very little vocabulary and forgot all the sentence structures/grammar. I started using this app and it helped me tremendously. I do not speak the language but understand it amongst Eastern Armenian speakers if they use proper words instead of slang. This app, again, has been super useful and I’m so looking forward to go pass this module 4 but cannot because there’s an error in the selection of words. Please correct so I can move forward. Module 4 second section I believe has a translation request for “I don’t know that word in Armenian.” The word “in” is missing from the options to choose from. I have pictures to prove it but can’t seem to post it on here. Please help!
Great app with numerous fixable bugs
This app is amazing and has been extremely useful for me in learning Armenian, I can chug out a couple modules in my free time every day. There are a significant amount of bugs that are somewhat annoying (some exercises have the words already in order, a few exercises aren’t actually completable Bc there are 2x needed words compared to how many are given, the spoken word isn’t always the actual word, and the app crashes after each module I complete), but the app is extremely useful inspire of these issues, and these bugs can definitely be ironed out. I’m overjoyed that the effort to make this app happened, and I really hope it keeps receiving updates. Giving it 5 stars despite the bugs due to how useful it is
