Swipe baby names on your own phones. Namore only reveals the names you both liked, so you can decide together without the back-and-forth.
Find the baby name you both love, without talking each other out of the good ones.
Namore is a baby names app for couples. You each swipe on your own phone, and your likes stay private. When you both like the same name, Namore shows you the match and adds it to your shared shortlist. Nobody sees the other's list, so nobody has to defend a name before it has had a chance to grow on them.
How it works
1. Start a session and send your partner a code or link. They can join as a guest.
2. Swipe through baby name ideas on your own phones.
3. When you both say yes, it's a match.
4. Rate your matches privately, then see both rankings side by side and pick.
15,000+ names, each with its story
Every name has its meaning, origin, pronunciation, nicknames and how popular it is right now. Boy and girl names from many origins, classic and popular or rare and unique.
Filter the deck
Narrow it down by gender, origin, region, length and first letter.
Add your own
Already have a favorite? Add it and it turns up early in your partner's deck.
Free to start
100 swipes every day, no ads, and no account needed to begin. Premium is a one-time purchase. It unlocks unlimited swipes for both of you, plus For You: ten names a day, picked from what you've liked.
Works solo too
Swipe on your own while your partner gets set up, or build a shortlist by yourself during pregnancy.
Namore works in English, French, German and Spanish.
I built Namore so the next couple has an easier time choosing.

After swiping through +400 names there’s little to no American names and no way to change the preferred name of origin without premium
Developer Response
Thank you for your response. We've now added 4,000 names additionally, also American names. That being said, most American names are inherited from other origins, so try filtering by that. Thank you for trying out Namore.app. We'll constantly be adding more names.
Highly recommend

This has been very helpful for my partner and me!
App asked for payment within minutes and then crashed

App asked for payment within minutes and then crashed
Developer Response
Sorry about that, a crash right at the paywall is the worst place for it. Free users get 100 swipes, and they refresh every 24 hours, so you can keep going without paying. The unlock is one payment and covers both partners. We've shipped several stability fixes since 1.0.4, so please update and try again. If it still crashes, write to support@namore.app with your iPhone model and I'll look into it myself. Julian
Finally a Unique Naming App!
gillybean28
This is honestly the best naming app I’ve ever seen. The names are so unique and thoughtful. I almost bought the paid version immediately after downloading, but then I realized the Android app wasn’t released yet and that’s what my husband uses. We are so excited for the Android app to come out and we will purchase the premium version!
Developer Response
Beautiful. Thank you so much for the feedback. Android is now live if you haven't seen it.
Swiping feels smoother: cards follow your finger, fly off at your speed and give a light buzz when a vote counts. Matches and onboarding feel calmer too.
Also new: Namore now speaks French, there's a Rate Namore link in Settings, and the app is more stable.
