Babylon: Smart Healthcare 24/7 17+

When I say this is the most helpful & convenient experience I’ve had with an app This time I mean it ! This app was so convenient & helpful my children just received mail a couple days ago explaining that they qualified for Babylon & what the app is & does/ provides for health care convenience. If you or your family/ children are experiencing a health issue that is not an emergency you can get on this app choose an appt time. Meet via tele-health without having to leave the comfort of your home, worry about transportation if you do not have any at the time, or if you don’t want to be exposed to potentially worse illnesses in a urgent care, hospital setting. My son woke up with pain in a very private area I was able to get him an appt within 10 minutes the doctor called us promptly on time spoke with us looked at where his issues were in a professional manner & explained any & all concerns I may have had as well as what to do or any issue I may have & what to do if certain issues began to show or did not get better within a certain time period ! He was caring patient & beyond helpful. He was able to get my son medication within 20 minutes to the pharmacy by our home & he had his meds in 30 minutes & was able to go to school on time ! Highly satisfied & definitely would recommend giving it a try especially if you have kids & a hectic lifestyle!!!!

Today was the second time I used this application and I truly believe it can save your life especially for someone like me that would rather stay sick without knowing the facts of what is going on internally just because I dread sitting in a waiting room surrounded by other people that could give me something worst than what I could have. And the comfortable feeling that I am left with after being educated on my health. The first time I used this application the doctor I was seen by had such a great sense of humor and being a male patient I was so comfortable discussing prostate issues. I learned from her that the prostate is part of the front and not the rear but because one of the ways to have it checked is through the rear, I thought that a colonoscopy was how the prostate was checked. I was totally wrong and at my age, I haven’t had neither of the two procedures done and I am 60 years old. You’d think that my primary care physician would have told me this, right? This is how comfortable it feels speaking to a doctor on this app. It can save your life. I tell all my friends about. I just hope my prostate and colon are healthy because that’s my next goal. Having those things checked. Whoever came up with the idea for this app is a genius. Well done!!

The doc I spoke to is great, however that’s totally pointless if Babylon can’t effectively communicate with partners to effectively execute the doctors orders. I went to Quest Diagnostics to do my labs and they cannot find my orders in their system. I am able to see that the doctor did submit orders in the Babylon app however the lab is asking that the doctor resend or fax orders. So now i have to schedule a second appointment and hope that they receive the orders this time. Very disappointed as I took time off of work to get this done and will probably have to do the same again later this week to correct the issue. If this type of app is to work efficiently there needs to be a way to ensure orders are received by partner entities and make that transparent to patients. Babylon needs to partner with organizations that are efficient and transparent and they need to build tools to effectively communicate with them so that issues like this don’t occur. In retrospect I should’ve just stuck to my regular PCP. Takes longer to get an appointment but at least they get it right the first time.
