SYMPTOM CHECKER & LIVE CHAT
The Babylon symptom checker has the ability to recognize what might be COVID-19 symptoms and suggest possible next steps. Use the live chat feature to ask questions and receive answers from a member of our team, straight from your phone.

GET A CARE PLAN
After you have received information about your symptoms, the COVID-19 Care Assistant will make available a Care Plan based on the latest guidance. Get daily notifications to track your symptoms, including your temperature, information for the 14-day isolation and general tips for your physical and mental wellbeing.

SPEAK TO BABYLON
The COVID-19 Care Assistant allows you to have a video consultation with a clinician via your smartphone, possibly saving you a trip to the doctor. After you enter your symptoms into the symptom checker, it will indicate possible next steps. If you believe you need to speak to a healthcare professional, you can book a video consultation.

VIDEO APPOINTMENTS (for select health plans)
Choose the time and place for your appointment. Just pick a time slot and a healthcare provider will connect with you then. Babylon video appointments are available at no cost through select health plans.

How can it help?

The healthcare providers available through the Babylon app can help care for allergies, congestion, cough, fever, flu, mental health, pain, rashes, upset stomach & more. They can also help with prescriptions, specialist referrals, labs, and behavioral health.

You can speak to a healthcare provider via the Babylon app at no cost through select health plans (see details below).

New York Users: New York Telemedicine Associates, available through the Babylon app, are now part of Mount Sinai Health Partners. Members of the following health plans are eligible: Humana Medicare Advantage, Empire BlueCross BlueShield Commercial, Empire BlueCross BlueShield Medicare Advantage, Oscar Commercial, and Cigna Commercial. Enter the code NYC when registering.

California Users: California Telemedicine Associates is available through the Babylon app through certain health plans. Please check with your health plan for the applicable code.

Missouri Users: Your health plan will notify you if Babylon’s telemedicine services are covered.

This has been a life saver

Even pre-COVID I pretty much could never get in to see my doctor, unless I had 3-6 months notice. Having the ability seek care 24/7 over telemedicine, and having access to therapy through here has made such a difference. The app is easy to use and navigate. If for some reason I have difficulty their customer service team is friendly and efficient and makes it easy to resolve things. The level of care I receive from the clinicians is also some of the best care I’ve had in years. I cannot say enough good about this app, and frankly tell everyone about it. So grateful my insurance recommended it to me for safe at home care during COVID.

Have a lot of work to do before this app becomes viable

The doc I spoke to is great, however that’s totally pointless if Babylon can’t effectively communicate with partners to effectively execute the doctors orders. I went to Quest Diagnostics to do my labs and they cannot find my orders in their system. I am able to see that the doctor did submit orders in the Babylon app however the lab is asking that the doctor resend or fax orders. So now i have to schedule a second appointment and hope that they receive the orders this time. Very disappointed as I took time off of work to get this done and will probably have to do the same again later this week to correct the issue. If this type of app is to work efficiently there needs to be a way to ensure orders are received by partner entities and make that transparent to patients. Babylon needs to partner with organizations that are efficient and transparent and they need to build tools to effectively communicate with them so that issues like this don’t occur. In retrospect I should’ve just stuck to my regular PCP. Takes longer to get an appointment but at least they get it right the first time.

Thankful

Thankful for Dr Rehfield. She is very caring, intelligent, kind and so helpful. The appointments are quick and efficient. She literally is a life saver and such a comfort knowing there is support like hers on this app. I feel well taken care more so than in a clinic or urgent care facilities. I’m forever grateful of the care I received from her especially during these chaotic days of the holidays and Covid. Amazing!!! Thanks to Babylon and Tusind Tak(a thousand thanks in Norwegian) to Dr Rehfield!!
