CUTOUT METHODS • Automatic person and foreground detection — drop a photo and the background is removed with no setup; falls back to general foreground detection when no person is found • Color Similarity mode — tap any point to remove every pixel within a color threshold, with a live sensitivity slider • Three quality presets: Quick Remove (fast), Precise Edge (accurate, for difficult outlines), Soft Portrait (accurate, heavy feathering for natural blending) PREVIEW AND INSPECT • Five preview modes: Result, Original, Mask Overlay, Matte, and a draggable Before/After split view • Zoom and pan the canvas to inspect fine edge detail at any scale • A floating hint offers Copy or Export the instant the cutout is ready • Collapsible inspector panel keeps the focus on the canvas CROP AND REFINE • Crop the source image before removal — rotate, flip, and trim the frame before cutting • Brush and Eraser tools with adjustable size (1–100 px) and feathering — paint back detail the auto-mask missed or erase stray fringe • Step back through each brush stroke one at a time, or redo it, with ⌘Z / ⌘⇧Z • Edge Refinement — expand or contract the mask boundary, smooth jagged edges, and add feathering, all live BACKGROUND AND EXPORT • Background options: keep transparency, fill with a solid color, or composite a custom image behind the cutout • Copy the cutout to the clipboard (⌘C) for direct paste into any app • Export as PNG with a Save As sheet (⌘E) — suggests the original filename as the default name • Menu bar shortcuts for copy, export, undo, and redo — reachable from the Edit and File menus SUPPORTED FORMATS Opens JPEG, PNG, HEIC, TIFF, BMP, and WebP as input; export is always PNG only, never JPEG, TIFF, or WebP.
