Don't be held hostage by bad PDFs, let Badger do the talking and wrangle those documents for you. Badger lets you view and edit your PDF file's metadata, security settings, table of contents, page layout, annotations, and more.

Badger is based on Apple's PDFKit framework, the powerful set of tools already included on your device. Anything it can do, you can now do as well. Badger gives you a comprehensive and clear interface for this framework so you can take full advantage of everything it has to offer.

It works with the Files app and even supports in-place editing of your PDFs so you can open documents stored in your favorite app or cloud storage provider, make your changes, and save them back to the original file. No copying files back and forth, no rewriting and renaming them, just easy editing the way it should have always been.

Or use one of Badger's three action extensions to view your document's properties without leaving the app you're in. It gives you easy access to the tools you need, available on your own terms.

So when you find yourself stuck with a stinker of a PDF file, let Badger get its snout dirty so you don't have to.

Some Suggestions

This app helps me organize my music library, but the user interface (while structured simply) is sometimes difficult to navigate.

To add items in a table of contents, you have to type the page number into a box or slide through the pages with your thumb to find the right one. The slide feature is super slow and glitchy. If you could shift it into an expanded window that’s easier to sift through, you wouldn’t need to have the pdf open on another device to efficiently find pages. Also, occasionally there are glitches when moving TOC items around, and you can’t always scroll when holding one item in an attempt to move it. Therefore, I usually shift the item up a little bit at a time until I reach the top. A simple fix would be allowing users the option to force their TOC items into the order in which they appear.

All this being said, having these capabilities available offline and on an ipad is pretty cool. I appreciate that Badger is its own isolated app. I use ForScore itself for hours daily, and have yet to come across a single glitch, flaw, or missed opportunity.

TLDR: Please make Badger’s TOC editor more like the bookmark manager on ForScore. Also, thank you for the perfection that is ForScore.

best PDF app for limited functionality

this is a great fast app for hand cropping PDF pages quickly, and for rotating, reordering, and deleting pages. I haven’t figured out how to combine PDFs, if that’s possible, or how to do a number of other things, but this app is a relief in its scope. It sometimes freezes up when you’ve chosen a file to edit instead of opening the file, but that seems to have to do with a file being downloaded already or not, so I tiptoe around that part. It has other quirks around Apple the files and folders interface, but most apps also do. Please keep this useful app up to date and thank you!

Nice idea but useless

It did exactly what promised, but it keep crashing and losing all the work before you can save.

You Won’t get anything done using it waste of money.
