Description

Noticing that the audio balance for your headphones is going slightly to the left or right? Balance Lock was designed to solve this by keeping the audio centred either in the middle or to a custom lock point. No more annoying left/right audio drift!

It runs unintrusively in the background, monitoring the audio levels to ensure that when plugging and unplugging headphones, the audio stays centered. It even has special support for USB audio devices so ensure all types of headphones are supported.

If you like it, please consider leaving a nice review, it's very much appreciated!

Balance Lock Works Great

I was listening to some music through my Skullcandy Uproar Wireless headphones, and one time I thought that the center (usually the singer's voice) had shifted to the left. I thought it was my hearing, but I thought I'd check the Mac's "Sound" balance setting...and it had shifted to the left. I manually changed it back to the center position, but a few days later, when I was listening through those headphones again, it seemed like the balance was off...and, once again, the balance setting had shifted to the left. I then Googled the problem and found Balance Lock. I installed it, and for a test, I manually changed the balance setting from the center, and Balance Lock automatically shifted the balance back to the center. This is a really, really great product! Thank you for creating and offering it!

Great idea, but

It seems to only allow centering. I want it to let me pick it to go all to the left ear as I am deaf in my right ear and I need silence in my right ear to avoid dialing up my tinnitus. I also need this to work only for specific headsets as some devices I don't want forced to all left. I only find out the inteface it back to centered when I start to get fatiged from the tinnitus and check the settings.

I am not going to use this app becuase it does not meet my needs but I am giving it 5 stars because the developer is fighting a good fight on implementing things to fix Apple's short comings.

Simple and effective

Solves the problems I've been having with my airpods. Seems fairly inobtrusive as well (except for this prompt to write a review, haha, but I bet that goes away now). Ability to turn on/off notifications for when balance is restored is a great feature, it'll remind me of this app for a time when I hopefully have to uninstall it, OR, if I ever get tired of the notifications, I can turn them off and just let it keep doing its thing.
